Great accommodation. The B&B is on the second floor of a residential building. The view is of the sea and the sail boats. The room has tv, free wifi , modern bathroom and a big comfortable bed. The French windows open into a beautiful terrace, perfect for sunbathing, having a cup of tea or a glass of wine . The kitchen is open to the guests all day with a very good breakfast served in the morning .
One thing to know: the address 15 Via Cristoforo Colomo is hard to find. The numbers abruptly end you have to drive up a hill to see the B&B on your right.

This is budget accommodation and the B&B does not hide this as it's even written on their business cards. We were not fully aware of this upon booking and given this there were some things we would deem acceptable and others that were not. The room itself was clean and had all the basics including air-conditioning. The walls and bunk beds needed painting, they were grey and worn out looking (not the Italian rustic look either). Also be aware that the shower is tiny and that the shower head itself only sits on one position which is facing the wall or directly in your face- not over your head. The first day we had to ask for toilet paper as there was not enough. Also our shutter cord broke meaning we could wind the shutter up. These issues were quickly and efficiently sorted out by the owner. The cleaner lady who saw us in initially did not speak English and didn't therefore bother to show us round the room so we had to wait for the following day until the owner arrived. Breakfast was good, all fresh food presented on the table and they went out to buy Hot Chocolate for us especially which was very kind. It is a shame that the breakfast atmosphere was marred by the potent smell of cigarettes that the lady serving us was smoking from just outside the room. This may not be the B&B's responsibility but as with anything first impressions are key- the hall way up to it was absolutely dreadful. There are some pictures with this review- surely it wouldn't take much to tidy it up? For me, there is no excuse for such poor / tatty presentation when running a business even if it might not be solely down to the B&B owner's- it is however the first thing that customers will see and judge. Also be aware that it us very noisy from other people in the flats surrounding- we were woken up several times. Vietri Sul Mare is very much a working town with lots of rubbish dumped everywhere and from the hotel the view was constant cargo boats coming to/from the docks. This area and feel is very different from say Positano and Amalfi. something to bear in mind if you don't know the area well. So, overall it isn't somewhere we would choose to return but are grateful for the hotel owners for providing a friendly and accommodating approach.

B&B Bella Vista d'Amalfi Coast in Vietri Sul Mare as been our favorite stop for gorging ourselves on the locally produced ceramics.  Easy going young couple,  Luigi and Elena, operate this very comfortable, perfectly situated B&B that has a great view.
It was unusually chilly this January and surprising to see snowflakes actually blowing from the mountains down to the coast, but our spacious room w/ terrific bath, was well heated.  For our two nights, we again were the only guests at this establishment, that has several rooms.  We loved having the place to ourselves and had fun making pasta one night.  Our hosts actually remembered us from two years ago.  They of course prepared a fantastic selection of breakfast items each morning and told us about their new B&B's in the Salerno area, which we would love to try next time.

We stayed here for one night at short notice, but a very pleasant surprise. The rooms are very beautifully furnished, very clean and all have extremely comfortable memory-foam mattresses. Luigi and his partner are very generous and friendly hosts who chatted with us during breakfast and provided lots of interesting information about the location as well as Italy in general. We got the last available room which did not have an ocean view, however I was still very pleased with the accommodation and don't feel that not having a view hindered the experience. If you walk out the front door, the view is glorious and just a short walk from multiple restaurants, cafes etc. Enjoy!

We just got back from a wonderful 4 night stay at B&B Bellavista Costa D'Amalfi. We took Italo’s super-fast, super-nice, high speed train from Rome’s Triburtina station to Salerno. Luigi, the B&B proprietor, picked us up from the Salerno train station and brought us the 10 minute drive to the B&B. The B&B had as on the 2nd floor and had a common kitchen area where guests could share breakfast. Luigi said that we were welcome to water and drinks in the well-stocked fridge. We stayed in the Amalfi room which had access to the large, shared balcony terrace which we had to ourselves since there was no one staying in the neighboring room. We enjoyed breakfast on the terrace every morning which consisted of various sliced meats, cheese, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, various pastries, breads and toasts, a selection of juices, tea and espresso. The room was well-lit, large, tastefully decorated and comfortable. Unfortunately, the TV did not have any English-speaking channels but we did not really watch much except at the end of the day. Luigi arranged to take us to the local train station the 1st morning so we could visit Pompeii. After, we easily walked back to the B&B. He also took us to Salerno on our 3rd day so we could catch the train to Paestum to see the Greek ruins. Every day, Luigi made sure that all our transportation needs were covered. We were mostly able to get around even though we did not have a car by using the local train or SITA bus.

The town of Vietri Sul Mare is basically 2 main streets and an easy ¼ mile walk from the B&B. The town, which specializes in ceramics, is very scenic, quaint and lovely. We ate dinner at Evu’s twice – fabulous, yummy, Nuevo dishes – loved their daily soup. We also ate at Ristorante 34 da Lucia where my husband got a memorable seafood spaghetti dish. On our last night, we ate at Sesta Stazione – they brought out complimentary appetizers of olives and some sort of bean(?) and aperitif wine. We ordered a salad, the spicy pizza and fried calamari which was perfectly cooked – hot, crispy, flavorful and light. Wish we had a chance to return but it was already our last night. We found plenty of excellent places to eat in town.

There is lots to see from this convenient, central, scenic location. We visited Pompeii, Paestum and took the famous SITA bus along the Amalfi Coast to town of Amalfi. We hiked from the town of Amalfi to the town Pontone where we ate a light lunch at Blu Bar. We had the yummy salad with home-made tuna which is specially made by the proprietor’s mother. We then walked on to the town of Ravello to see the famous views.

I’d love to come back one day and relax and soak up the sun a bit more.

Room Tip: 2 rooms share a large balcony with have tables and lounge chairs
