This apartment was perfect for us for a week. It's smallish but has just about everything you need (no oven though but we don't tend to cook whilst on holiday so it wasn't an issue). The aircon works perfectly which, considering it was in the high 30's all the time we were here, was a huge bonus.
The apartment is in a block of 6 and is at the end, and with the layout, it's as good as being detached. Having never been to Lake Garda, or indeed Italy, before we didn't realise how busy the beaches and swimming areas are. So, to have your own lake access (albeit shared with the 5 other apartments) was an unexpected and welcome luxury. There are 8 loungers and plenty of chairs and whilst we was there we only ever saw another couple using them. It's a fair walk out to swimming depth but that's true of many places around the lake but you do need sandals or wetshoes as it's quite stoney all around the lake.
The location is between Sirmione and Peschiera del Garda and, unless you've got a car, you'll almost certainly need to hire bikes. It took us 50 minutes to walk into the centre of Peschiera though if you walk along the cycle path into town there are numerous bars & trattoria so you don't need to go into town everytime. We only visited Sirmione once, nice as it is, but for us, it lacked the charm of Peschiera. We hired bikes from the rental place recommended by the excellent tourist office and is about a 20-25 minute walk and just opposite the big campsite heading into town. For 5.5 days we paid 45E each and the bikes were more than adequate though they didn't have lights which made cycling back in the dark somewhat interesting!
If walking into town, the best way is via the promenade which is about ten minutes away. Turn left from the apartment and at the first roundabout, near the Euro Spin supermarket, which we used, (similar to an Aldi or Lidl), turn left and head through the houses and you'll come to it. It's unbelievably nice and whilst it's a good walk, there are a few bars to refuel should the need take you!
We flew into Verona, caught the short shuttle bus (6E) to Verona station then train to Peschiera (4E and took 12 mins) then caught a taxi from the station. There wasn't one waiting when we arrived which threw us a bit but one did arrive after ten minutes or so and cost us 12E. Same going back though Tacy booked it for us as I was concerned they wouldn't understand us.
In summary, it's a great apartment for two people for a week. We managed perfectly without a car though we agreed that if we'd been staying longer than a week then we would have needed a car. There is so much to see in the area, and we only explored the south eastern corner (Garda, Bardolino, Peschiera and Sirmione). And that's just lake Garda! We loved Italy (went to Venice on the train for day too) and can't wait to go back and explore some more. Fantastic country, town, and apartment.

We were very warmly welcomed by the owner after a confusing journey from the airport. Following road signs in Italy is a skill and not for the feint hearted. But to arrive at such an idyllic setting with incredible views of the lake and mountains from your front door was breathtaking. To sit and simply watch the world go by was wonderful. The accommodation was very clean and well furnished and the welcome basket reflected the overall experience.
