Decided to eat out for lunch near where a relative lived in Rochester we went to the closest which was open as a large majority of restaurants are closed lunchtime in Rochester.
We were a party of six and it was around 12pm. We were greeted by a very pleasant Italian women we ordered the drinks then asked what the specials on the board were, she went through the board so we could understand and answered any questions we had. While she went to get the drinks we pondered on what to have. I chose the chicken escalope topped with tomato sauce and finished with chesse which was also chosen by another at the meal. My wife chose carbonara which is one of her favourites. My sister chose one of the specials from the board a slow cooked lamb cooked with tomatoes and vegetables broken into small pieces then mixed with tagliatelle. Mother chose Chicken Escalope cooked in a mushroom sauce served with sauté potatoes.
My daughter was not hungry so she asked for a plate so she could help her grandmother eat hers. Waited about 20 minutes which is about normal for main to be cooked.
All came out piping hot as a side I ordered tomato and red onion salad. Olive oil and balsamic vinegar was left we were offered parmesann and fresh ground black pepper.
Everybody enjoyed the main meal. A couple of us wanted desert they were so so . They had no bonoffee pie so I had a latte instead.
The deserts were bought in the reason for no bonoffee was they had a busy weekend.
The service and food were good so will probably come in again in a few months.
