A definite wow. The setting alone is more than worth the price of admission: right in the Restonica valley with the cliffs of the gorge rising above you, and the river rushing by. Everything is set up for you to enjoy being in the middle of nature: tables and comfortable chairs by the river, the pool (which it was too cool to use, but looked inviting), rooms with balcony and beautiful views. A modern hotel with some rustic design to compliment the setting, which we found a little spare at times, but still nice overall. The hospitality was notable, with welcoming and helpful staff. We didn’t take breakfast, but we did take advantage of the little “café” there in the afternoon; very limited menu but delicious for a snack. The one thing I couldn’t figure out was the bathroom faucet, where the hot water would only operate with the strongest force. Great shower, though.

Room tip: anything with a view

I wish we had been able to stay longer as we just had one night. The place is stylish, the location stunning, the staff friendly, the breakfast brilliant simple continental done with care and high in quality. Even the way they serve coffee on the terrace shows real attention to detail. The riverside view is amazing, the pool is great and it would be a lovely place to chip for 2 or 3 days. It's really close to Corte to eat out, and there is a good rustic restaurant next door. The rooms are simple...no robes and not sure what you would do about getting towels dry...but minor observations, as the room was comfortable, funky and lovely.

We had a room facing the river and sat outside just looking at the lovely view. I thought the hotel itself was a bit basic and kept wondering why there were no tissues in our room. I guess that is part of being ecologically sensitive or deciding where not to spend money.

Room tip: Face the river

Was here for two nights in an organized trip, sad to leave tomorrow. The view is fantastic, you can just sit and hear the river in front of the hotel and fill your batteries with vital energy. Good breakfast (continental French), excellent service, pleasant rooms.

My wife and I have just stayed at Hotel Dominique Colonna for three night on a walking holiday in Corsica.
Everything about this hotel was first class, from the modern individualistic decor, to the personal attention by the hotel staff, who couldn't do enough to make our stay a pleasure, the wonderful breakfast, through to the superb location on the Restonica River.
The sound of the river at night made you feel as if you were at one with nature.
The owner Nataly has created a very special hotel.
