A very convenient stopover on the drive down to Italy. Relatively low price in an area where hotels are expensive. Our room was small but spotless and comfortable, everything working properly, cold on entry in freezing weather but quickly warmed, good wifi. Breakfast was basic but surprisingly good quality. With just one member of staff on duty, not much by way of service, but she was pleasant and spoke a little English.

Getting access to the hotel was difficult in the afternoon I arrived as there typically there was no staff present at that time. The payment terminal did not accept my foreign (non-French) creditcard (staff later told me this happens all the time).
So I had to rely on remote support (via intercom) which did not function very well.
Once I was in and staff arrived the were very friendly and supportive: they even opened breakfast half an hour earlier next day on my request as I had to get up early for a local sport event.

Room Tip: Rooms on the front have best view, on the back side the view is not that interesting.

Never stayed in an Ibis before so not really sure what to expect but it was a comfortable night. Breakfast was very good. The only two issues I would have were (a) the Wi-Fi signal was not strong enough so was unable to connect until the next morning (b) corridor needed vacuuming

Clean, comfortable, basic, but great value for the Euro for motorcycle travelers like us! Walking distance to downtown and great restaurants nearby. Wi-fi was broken, but local pub let us use theirs for free.

Most frequent travellers have had occasion to find a 'last minute' hotel and so it was with us when we found ourselves unexpectedly staying at the Ibis Budget in Saint Die Des Vosges. We had planned on staying somewhere else but it was firmly closed - so won't recommend that as we had a confirmed reservation - but the local Tourist Office pointed us in the direction of the Ibis Budget, very close to the town centre, and we were very glad of the bed and comfort they offered. It is, that said, a 'budget' hotel, so don't expect luxury, but in every other respect it ticked the boxes - a comfortable double bed, a nice bathroom with a hot shower, a wall-mounted TV, very close proximity to everything else that was going on, and most of all, really decent, friendly, English-speaking staff who made us feel very welcome. The breakfast in the morning was fine - nothing outstanding about it, but the system is efficient (a little bit of a conveyor belt, but so what, it served it's purpose!) and we certainly left feeling it was good value for money,. So - if you find yourselves needing somewhere that offers all you need at a budget price, this is the place for you!

Room Tip: We overlooked a back road and a canal or river - very pretty, and quiet.
