The most horrific, and disgraceful holiday!

•After travelling hours, got told our hotel over booked-

1:We was forced to wait 2 hours for someone to pick us up

2: We wasn't allowed food and water- as the 'all inclusive times expired'

3: Then got driven to another hotel

4- Then got told there's no room for us by 2nd hotel

5: So we was forced to stay in a back street alley room, which was unsecured and unlocked for 1 night

•Raw surge running onto our balcony which ruined our clothes

•Downgraded rooms- was put in a room with no windows, when we paid more to have 'sea view'

•Staff were outrageously rude

•On the beach was contacted- 'we can't do anything about it' - when they was who we booked with and responsible

•Hotel has been awarded '4*' by On the beach- very surprised

•On the beach took 4 months to get back to us, and still haven't resolved the issue

•Absolutely disgraceful hotel, horrific company to book with- stay clear!

Staff was helpful and the food was good. The walk to the beach is pretty long though, unless you want to take the bus to a different beach. The music was a bit loud at nights, but all in all this was a locelg experience.

Keeping this short - once I start, I don't think I will be able to stop! Just returned home from Crete a week ago. Really, the only two good things I can say about this place is the view from the top of the hill and the very kind man (his name escapes me) who took us to our room and showed us the air con etc. I was very disappointed with the room, the food (which made me ill) and the staff on the reception desk who were extremely unhelpful. Will visit Hersonissos again but would not come back to this hotel.

We had a brilliant time at this hotel - partly due to being upgraded to the deluxe section of the hotel with private pools. The rooms were excellent, food very good and varied. Drink ok only all inclusive till 1030 and only included beer wine and 4 spirits but we managed!!!!
Downside the hotel definitely over sells its rooms we saw lots of people being turned away due to overbooking. Our upgrade came about because we went down to two rooms instead of the three we had booked. Would go again if we could guarantee the new rooms. Main hotel and pool older and more cramped

Lovely welcome on arrival, shown to our room which turned out to be a family room. Lovely new built part of the hotel but farthest away from bar & restaurant, bit of a treck for any refreshments etc.
Firstly our room was nice & clean, beautiful shower room, bed was torture as was the bunk beds which we tried too! Used the ladders to hang some clothes, shortage of hangers & any drawers for our clothes, mirror & dresser chair just hilarious, can't see anything if you sit.
Swim up pool seems lovely but the paints peeling off could do with tiles, there are plenty sun beds but the whole area is just rough concrete that needs to be finished better.
We had a little visitor that lived in our room for about 4 days eating our goodies lol. Also a lot of bees/wasps around, so I've now found out after being stung on the back of my knee I don't have an allergy to there sting!!!
There was a small pool bar quite close which served the lovely longer pool for about 3 days then closed down, perhaps the young Russian girl who didn't bother her backside to serve you because it interrupts her card games with the lads was sacked who knows?
Head barman Costa was fabulous & friendly as was English girl but this is the first time ever in Crete that I've not found the hotel staff very friendly.
Restaurant head guy always gave a smile but no one else! Food was really average, pizza was always the best bet, not a lot of choices & very repetitive. Lucky there are some great restaurants in the village well worth the walk down the hill, it's only 11mins walk once you find the short cuts....promise.

Room Tip: Rooms with sea views numbers 1000+ are quieter

We arrived at Village Panorama at about 10pm and found that the hotel had overbooked but they relocated us to a 5 star hotel for the night with a promise to upgrade our stay to include lots of freebies. We came back the following morning and they honoured their upgrades. The food in the hotel was absolutely fantastic. Every day we were served a different menu and each meal was just cooked superbly. Alot of emphasis on the menu being Cretan cuisine - which is as it should be really when you're visiting Crete! The bar staff were very friendly, polite, efficient and professional. Maria and Spiros at the bar were outstanding and our drinks were continuously refreshed throughout the night. Max, the entertainer was really funny and kept us all well entertained.

The rooms were clean but the beds were definitely hard unfortunately. Also the smell from the drains was a bit of a put off but I guess thats standard in Crete. Really recommend this hotel - and would definitely come back again. :)

Room Tip: Fantastic Food, Great Views, Excellent staff

We arrived late in the night to be told there wasn't any room for us in the hotel and that we had to stay in an apartment 1 minute from the beach for the night. The apartment wasn't awful but it wasn't great either. It was behind lots of shops and cafe's that were open late, which meant lost of noise! We were picked up at 9am, with two other brits who were in the same boat.

At reception we were told we had to stay 3 nights at the apartment place. My partner told a lie and said the man on reception last night said it would only be 2 nights, so she said come back tomorrow at 12 and you'll have a room sorted.

We used the rest of the day to enjoy the beach as we were staying close.

The next day we checked into our room at 13:00 after lots of drama at reception from other couples/families in the same boat. We were given free wifi for 2 and aircon.

The food in the hotel was okay, nothing was labelled so you had no idea what you were really eating. Best bits were pancakes at breakfast and pizza at lunch and dinner. The food was very greasy . We ended up going out for dinner for a few nights. The drinks were again okay. On the small side, which meant getting all the time. The fizzy drinks from the bar area are almost flat and 90% syrup! The beer is also watered down!

Our room was nice, was cleaned every day! The cleaning staff were lovely and seemed to be hardworkers!

The hotel it's self was lovely! The views are great, pools are nice, cold but refreshing

From talking to the other British people, all of them were shipped out on arrival. Some got the short straw, staying in slums pretty much! However some got shipped out to 5* hotels!

Overall was a good hotel, would have been better if there wasn't the stress of the overbooking at the start

We heard someone say that the hotel double books every room just in case some people don't turn up - which is very unlikely - no wonder it seems to be that people are shipped out left, right and centre!

Room Tip: Be prepared to be shipped out on your first night?
