Just simply getting to this restaurant is an experience not to be missed!. walking down the many stairs to the restaurant and realising that at some point you're going to have to walk back up is quite exciting. The tables are given on a first come first served basis so you cannot guarantee a sea side table but pre booking is essential as there is usually a queue. The food was good and the service but don't go for the food necessarily - just the venue !

I was expecting a lot more expensive and not good food because of the reviews but it was all great!! The food, reviews, service, and views were amazing. For 2 adults 2 glasses of wine and full course meal it was 219 euro so worth it!

Is the food served at grotta palazzese worth the price (€350 for a 2 vegetarian set menus, with wine pairings including an additional €10 for a cup of coffee at the end)? Erm... hell no! But, that doesn’t necessarily mean I don’t recommend it. It was a relatively chilly April evening but the view, the sounds of the waves crashing below and reverberating around the cave, and just everything about the setting was so beautiful we spent the meal pinching ourselves at where we were. Would recommend booking an hour or so before sunset - then you get to see daytime, dusk and nights from the setting. It was the last night of our holiday and we went as an anniversary present to each other - no regrets and we’ll remember it for a lifetime. Tip: beautiful shots by holding your phone out of the bars on the windows outside the toilets (don’t drop it!)

I installed TripAdvisor today literally just to write this review and warn people to avoid this scam. The cave is certainly nice but the overall experience was terrible. Very cold every client had to use blankets on top of their raincoats. Service is poor, waiters didn't care and couldn't speak English except from the quotes they memorized. Food is nothing special and outrageously overpriced. We ended up paying 300euro for 2. You can enjoy the nice terraces in the sun for a week with essentially the same view or eat mediocre food in the cold in this ripoff place. The choice is yours.
