Description: The Trulli Valle Adriatic coast is characterized by the presence of numerous medieval towns and villages that overlook the sea as Polignano that add to the richness of a historic and artistic heritage the striking beauty of the rocky seabed and crystal clear water of the Adriatic coast. The predominantly rocky coasts, contain unique beach coves and edges that distinguishes Polignano a Mare for the high cliff, which as well as offering stunning views, beautiful gorges and hidden caves overlooking the crystal sea. The oldest part of the town stands on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Adriatic Sea since 2008, Blue Flag. Famous for its historical center the city of Polignano a Mare is also the destination of many scuba divers with about forty caves, many of which can be visited boat, which embellish the town coast. Among all the "Grotta Ardito" for the rare beauty, from which it draws the name of our restaurant. In this heavenly scene finds its frame "Grotta Ardito" interesting address dedicated to the culture of eating and drinking well decorated. The restaurant welcomes customers in elegantly furnished rooms, offering a cuisine inspired by the Apulian culinary tradition, enriched by creative solutions dedicated to the care and refinement of raw materials. Interesting wine list offering the best national and regional labels. In summer you can dine on the terrace enjoying a breathtaking view of the Adriatic Sea.

My husband and I dined here a couple of weeks ago and had an incredible experience in all senses. We will be back again very soon! Much better value, far better service and great menu!

Thank Jesse A

My husband and I ate at this restaurant twice during our weeks stay in Italy and we highly recommend! The sea bass was our favourite meal of the holiday, we have never tasted fish like it!! It was cooked to perfection! Definitely worth a visit, it’s in a perfect location overlooking the sea & the food is amazing!!

We were 4, risotton with seafood was tasteless, our grilled steaks tasted like soot and the only one who was satisfied was the person who ordered mussel soup which looked more like just mussels cooked in its own liquore. The most expensive we ate in the 10 days in Italy and just wasn't worth it.

My partner and i went to have dinner at Grotta Ardito on the night of July 26th in Polignano A Mare and what a mistake that was! We sat upstairs on the deck, which was quite beautiful albeit quite windy and the owner sat us at a nice table. We ordered wine and our meal and about three tables came in after us. We received our wine after asking twice and we sat for a good hour and our food never arrived. My partner asked him where our food was as the other three tables who came in after had all received theirs, we both ordered seafood pasta. He said it was coming, 10 minutes later same thing and finally my partner tells him that we are leaving due to poor service and the owner launches into insults and starts swearing at my partner and myself to the point of chasing us out of the restaurant. Was such an awful experience I hope to never go through something like that again! I get it, it was busy and he was understaffed but never swear and abuse your clientele!

Ok for a drink only. We ordered 9 dishes - all terrible. A total disaster really. Even simple fries were very terrible - smells and tastes extremely fishy as they probably used same oil to fry the fish and potato...
