We spent two evenings here in the end. There was a Monday evening, after a healthy afternoon's cliff walking, where we enjoyed some fine ales and were somewhat successful in the meat-raffle. The Thursday night bingo was, however, a complete hoot and we laughed the whole night long. The dinner was simple and delicious and the locals very friendly and welcoming displaying a grand sense of community revelry. Incidentally, The Atlantic Inn probably has one of the best positions, as a venue, for ‘sundowners’; looking, as it does, across to Rinsey Cliffs and the old tin mines silhouetted in the sunset to the West. For a non-touristic fun night’s drinking and dining in Porthleven one could do a lot worse than a night here.

After reading reviews we chose to go to Sunday lunch. Not sure if it was just a bad day but we weren't impressed. The beef was tender but there was a lot of gristle which made it difficult to navigate. The large Yorkshire pudding was obviously not freshly cooked and was rather like cardboard. Added to this parts of the meal were not as warm as they should have been. The potatoes were very hot by comparison.
However the bread and butter pudding was tasty..
It seems to be a friendly pub with a good range of beer and lager.

Last minutes booking - very accommodating. Food was excellent - specials board had something for everyone. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Shark steak was fantastic, as was the fudge cake. Would recommend this place to anyone who is in the Porthleven area
