The cottage was clean, comfortable and welcoming. It was quiet and close to the local shop, and the local Pub which did excellent food and was very friendly. No parking problems. The location was great for exploring the Dales and the surrounding towns and villages. We would happily stay there again.

“Cosy retreat”
Reviewed August 10, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Really enjoyed a 5 night stay during a business trip to Skipton. Owners John & Joyce made us feel really welcome & have obviously put a lot of thought into making the place comfortable. Welcome pack of a few essentials was spot on, especially the excellent home made bread (bread by Fred from next door). Parking spot right outside and convenience shop over the road next to The Trawden Arms. If you’re coming back late, keep your eyes open for the Tawny owl who patrols the area, just one of the many friendly locals.. Great value for money, great countryside, great get-away.

“Unexpected Business Getaway”
Reviewed July 3, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

I was supposed to be working out of Burnley and my fondness for cooking, always lands me up in service apartments. I was in the cottage for almost 20 nights. Its a very cosy cottage. The sky-light really help keep the whole house lively and well-lit.
As already mentioned, the were enough of complimentary stuff like wine, coffee and milk. The bed-room is really well kept and nice. Please remember a couple of cupboards will be out of you reach, but that shouldn't bother much. I stayed for 20 nights and didn't find any storage issue, although a bit more storage would be welcome.
Location is nice as well, its very peaceful and quiet, very close to Colne and the markets there. There's a Londis nearby and the Trawden Arms as well.

The owners are very nice people and so are the neighbours. It was a very nice stay here. Be aware though, that if you are planning to stay for longer, the small shop nearby won't be enough for all your requirements.
I do feel that there should have been a chimney, but I guess one can do without it. I just left the door open while cooking.
I travelled every day to Burnley and the back roads were really cool. English countryside!
Hope to come back again one day!

Had a great week in Chelsea Cottage. The cottage was well equipped and very clean and comfortable. The free wifi was very useful for catching up with emails. The communication with the owner was very helpful and efficient through email.
The area was good for a variety of activities including cycling and walking.
Thank you for an enjoyable stay and the welcome pack of bread, wine, milk tea and coffee.
Hope to return

“Highly recommend.”
Reviewed May 20, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

A lovely cottage with character and warmth ,the pre directions and communication were excellent , hints tips and instructions easy to digest , for a walking weekend taking in three peaks it was an hour drive and great walks on the door step, the price paid did not reflect the provisions that were available. Fresh bread , milk , tea and coffee . A bottle of wine , plenty of towels , bed linen and cleaning products , the neighbours were lovely as was the contact via e mail from the owner and I would suggest that this could attract a greater cost than is charged. This is of course written from the perspective of an individual who does not have mobility and dexterity issues and on that basis I would highly recommend and return
