Booking in easy and friendly. Room warm and cosy. Shower lacked power otherwise great. Convenient for the port. Breakfast was made to order but I settled for coffee and toast. Good range on offer.
The only downside was it is on the main road which was not very busy and ear plugs are provided. A lot at a great price.

This hotel is spotlessly clean and the couple that checked us in, and showed us to our room, were friendly. However the room was small, noisy and with no wifi. Whilst the room was noisy the staff had been good enough to provide earplugs next to the bed however for £130 per night this didn't seem right. It is very close to the ferry terminal however unless everywhere else is full I would suggest not staying here. Two days previously we stayed in a stunning guesthouse in Mallaig for £50 per night less.

Nice hotel rooms but had to keep the window shut as the language flying up from the pub was not what I wanted my kids to hear. The hotel is directly above the pub with limited parking. Breakfast was ok... nothing special but had a lot worse. Staff friendly and reasonably priced so can't complain.

Great location, right beside train station and close to harbour. Nice breakfast, cosy room. Place seems to have just had a refurb so a few problems with room but sure they'll have been ironed out by summer season and staff friendly and helpful anyway.

Two minutes from the train, five from the ferry and food across the road or next door so very central location. old building going through some changes so no lift and a few stairs but we travel light so no worries. Don't be put of by the pub next door, the seagulls make more noise! Our room was the family one pictured above and bright and clean it was. Breakfast was fine, although the young staff were struggling if it got busy, experience will sort that out. Our family of four had a great time and the free ear plugs -for the gulls, see above, is a great touch. The owner told me smaller and quieter rooms are at the back but don't expect a view, well not unless I go back and paint a mural on the wall :)

Clean and tidy room. Very convenient for the town centre. Had the atmosphere of a work in progress. Expensive for the basic room and the service provided. The public bar on the ground floor did not fill one with confidence. However the cooked breakfast was really good quality and well prepared. Parking is in the road outside.

Room Tip: Get a room away from the ground floor bar.

My partner and I visited this restaurant having stopped here on the Jacobite train. We only had a limited amount of time in Mallaig. We were first told that there was no haddock and chips left which I found disappointing considering it's a fishing town. Then we were told it was really busy so it would be a 15 minute wait which was fine. So we ordered something and told them that we were getting the train at 10 past 2 so we needed to be out by 2. This was at 1 o clock. They said it would be fine. Whilst we were waiting two other customers left as they had waited so long on a scone having already complained to the waiter who had not apologised to them. It got to 145 and there was still no sign of our lunch so we had to leave and get the train. The waiter did not even seem that bothered that he had lost custom. This restaurant should know when the Jacobite train comes into the station and that people have limited time. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who visits on the Jacobite train as if you go you won't have any time to do anything else and you probably won't even get your food.
