The cabin was nice and clean, roomy and very quiet. We especially picked this place because one other guest commented on the fast Internet service on this site. We were disappointed to find out after we checked in that there was no TV and No Internet service. Website should be updated to let visitors know that there is no Internet available, no phones and no TV.

Cabin was huge compared to a Motel. The owners really thought about the visitors stay. Complete with BBQ, fire pit, and we had wine glasses which were a nice touch!!! We could see the lake from our deck. Beautiful and friendly location. Met alot of locals that may end up being friends. Towels were brand new and fluffy. There was a game drawer for the kids. Bedroom was huge. Kitchen was complete with everything you needed. Jay and Robin the NEW owners were great to chat with and get a feel on where to eat or to enjoy little Silverton secrets. My kids and i were able to carry our kayaks to the beach (it's so close) and we fished daily. This is a fantastic vacay if you want to just get away to relax clear your head or if you are parents on a budget. You will be so happy you did this. When speaking to other guests on my last day we all agreed we would all come back. Oh and it is pet friendly which the other guest was very grateful for.

Three nights here in one of the cabins centrally situated in the quiet and pleasant Kootenay village of Silverton.

Reception was friendly and our cabin had a large, plainly furnished wood-floored room with a nice dining table, settee and sofa-bed. The integral kitchenette was not particularly well laid out and had a two ring hob, fridge, toaster, kettle, coffeemaker and microwave. There was a reasonable selection of cutlery, crockery (but no side plates until requested) and pans. The large glass front doors of the cabin had no lace curtain so the main curtains had to be drawn to maintain privacy when required.

The carpeted bedroom was a fair size with a comfortable bed and plenty of hanging and drawer space.

Bathroom was adequate with a good shower. However the towels were of poor quality and were not replaced daily (neither was the unit serviced, but perhaps this is the norm for Canadian cabins - although the sign outside proclaimed ‘motel’).

There were chairs under cover on the deck.

The cabin was in a twin unit which meant that there was some noise from neighbours (which might be a problem on occasions) and the deck was shared reducing privacy.

Wireless internet was available and fast.

Cleanliness was satisfactory.

Overall an acceptable experience, but not one which sparkled.
