We first visited the Ripley Creek Inn and were immediately impressed with the updated rooms behind an old facade of a building. It was like stepping back in time. The room was very modern and comfortable and the location is great. Every thing is within walking distance for convenience sake. I would definately recommend anyone to stay and visit some of the characteristics to be found in Stewart, and stay at this Inn.

Room Tip: Get a room on one of the upper floors of the buildings

We stayed in room 224, Kate Ryan building for two nights. To get to it you enter through a door from the side street. Enter the door and there was a generator to the left, I assume, ready if the power goes out as we were getting lots of rain. Then you walk up a large bunk house style staircase to the upper level rooms. At the top of the stairs is a walk way, which is open on one side to a vacant lot and a view of the mountains and glaciers, room 224 was at the far end.

Upon entering the room your basically in a mud room/kitchen area. This little kitchen had everything you could possibly need to do some light cook or heating. A place to hang your coat and keep your shoes and dirty boats.

Our room was described as smaller than most, but I'd say it was very roomy. Also had a medium sized dinner table and chairs, flat screen TV in the corner on top of the dresser and night stands on either side of the comfy queen bed! Just wish the bathroom door opened into the main room instead of the bathroom. Also have to watch the wood trim on the floor, it's a little higher than the usual Home Depot trim, but once your toe hits it you'll remember to pick up your feet quickly. One other thing I want to mention is that when it rained the tin roof was quite loud and some might be annoyed by this, but we were really just lulled to sleep by it.

Would definitely stay here again even with all it's little quirks and

Big clean rooms in funky theme of the old town. I stayed in Kates room which had a great balcony. Friends stayed in other rooms, all of which were a good size, some with patios, others without. Free bicycles were a bonus to ride around town and up the boardwalk, there was also a fire pit at the back which was great to sit around toasting marshmellows. The front desk last was a bit abrupt and unhelpful when we were checking in but did not interact with her for the rest of the stay.

The Ripley Creek Inn is a series of cobbled together buildings with unique rooms overlooking the Portland canal estuary. With had a large, bright second story room with a great view down the channel. Comfortable and clean. Great place to stay and unwind.

Room Tip: try the second floor rooms overlooking the estuary.

We stayed in the main lodge for 2 nights. A very big clean room with a little kitchenette. There was a lovely common room where we sat & talked with other guests, this room had a lovely view of the mountains. A great stay.
