If there were an award for creative repurposing of existing historic buildings, then Ripley Creek Inn would be the hands-down winner. They have taken mining-era buildings and created a comfortable, modern interior that makes for a enjoyable stay.

The Crow's Nest building, one of several, housed multiple rooms, ours was roomy, warm and pleasant. More as a comment than a criticism, at least at Crow's Nest, if the neighbors are noisy, best not be a light sleeper; cannot speak to the other buildings.

Breakfast and lunch available as part of the complex.

P.S. Just kidding about "among the bears". Great bear viewing on a platform down the street during salmon spawning.

Having stayed in Stewart several times mostly camping or with friends this time my wife and I stayed at the Ridley Creek Inn we stayed only one night this trip ,reception was wonderful after checking into our room which was in the main lodge I wanted to stay in the bordello but it was booked up (me wife ) the room was clean and comfortable . They have done a great job renovating old places and turning them into part of the hotel complex , many interesting things from times past are scattered about ,close to many eateries with varying hrs . Then off to the Salmon glacier, remember your passport you'll need it to get back to Stewart ,with a stop at the bear viewing platform in Alaska seen one black bear that made 3 for the day having seen two driving from Terrace through the Nass lava beds and the Cranberry on the way up here in the morning,it was a clear and beautiful day so the view of the glacier was exceptional.

This little place really is lovely. We have a room on the lower floor of the main lodge. It is a corner room with a nice view out the two corner windows looking towards the boardwalk on the estuary. The room is very large and very clean. It has a good sized bathroom, fridge, microwave and Keurig coffee maker. The beds are good and comfortable. All the buildings are different and very cute and funky. The buildings are old, but this room is nicely updated.

We were travelling as a group of 8, 2 seniors, 3 adults and 3 children 11 and under. We stayed at Ripley Creek in one of the buildings that had 2 suites. Loved the layout of both suites, they were clean and tidy, the beds were comfy, lots of dishes and towels. Walking distance to pretty much everything in Stewart. Easy check in and check out. The caretakers were friendly and helpful.

This place is so different from all other hotels in a very good way. Very charming and cozy. Nice clean rooms. Tons of fun stuff to look at. They have free bikes you can use to check out Steward. A nice outside pick nick area. A place at home away from home.

Near the end of a 20 day trip we stumbled upon this place. The room was excellent! Clean, comfortable and frankly it was the nicest we had stayed in during our trip.
Most excellent!! Very quiet. Staff were friendly.

In the "heart" of town, access to walks around town, and to nearby Hyder Alaska, bear viewing, and the Salmon Glacier. Almost on the water of the Portland Canal (fiord) and boardwalk on the estuary. Quiet, clean, and great cafe for breakfast and lunch in the facility.
