“Perfect Vacation”
Reviewed 29 November 2016 for a stay in November 2016

We had a wonderful week with at our friends at Rainbow Tree Villa. Treasure Beach is the perfect secluded spot for a vacation to escape and unwind. The staff treated us like family. The meals were delicious. The house, pool and grounds were clean and well kept. Laura, Jenny and Calvin took care of our every need. Aman provided excellent transportation and guide services. He took us on a great day trip up the Black River with stops at Rudy's, Sister Lou's and Floyd's Pelican Bar. It was a great day! We cannot wait to return!

“Just returned from a heavenly week.”
Reviewed 13 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

I was part of a group of 10 that just spent a lovely week at the Rainbow Tree Villa on Treasure Beach. My husband and I have a wonderful bedroom facing the ocean. We fell asleep and woke to the meditation of the waves. With a welcoming pool and the beach only 40 steps away, we had a slice of heaven for a week of total relaxation. The house staff showered us with Jamaican hospitality. Three wonderful meals a day made our group of 10 quite happy.
We are so grateful and my husband and I want to gather another group of friends to return again in the coming year, Thank you Ms. Laura, Ms Jenny, Ms Nedeta, and Amon for creating such a loving home for us to enjoy.

“This Truly Is Paradise!”
Reviewed 12 February 2016 for a stay in January 2016

We have vacationed several times at Rainbow Tree since it was initially built more than 20 years ago, and it truly keeps getting better. This last trip in January 2016 was the best yet!

Our ride from the airport with Aman is always a treat. He’s a good man and a good friend, so the fun conversation always makes the trip go quickly. He’s your go to guy for all things transportation – by car or boat.

The house staff, Laura and Jenny are incredible – loving, warm, welcoming, thoughtful, and the best cooks in Treasure Beach without question. As a vegan, I was initially concerned that my choices would be limited. Laura and Jenny are accustomed to cooking for guests with a wide variety of dietary concerns, so they weren’t fazed at all. I loved the variety of local dishes they prepared day after day. The non-vegans in our party enjoyed lobster, curried goat, fish, jerked chicken and other traditional Jamaican dishes. The seafood is caught daily by the local fishermen who are related to Jenny and Laura. It truly does not get any fresher than that.

When our children were young, they loved all the ways to play – in the ocean, in the pool, with lots of local children (braiding hair, playing soccer), with Calvin’s dog. Every day was fun. As they got older, they enjoyed excursions such as up the Black River by boat, to the Pelican Bar (again by boat), and to YS Falls. They also enjoyed the tour of the Appleton Rum Factory even though they skipped the tasting part. Since they are now grown, we took this trip without them for the first time, and it was the most relaxing vacation we’d ever taken. Truly rejuvenating.

The beach directly in front of the property is the best in all of Treasure Beach with the added benefit that it is often deserted. We love spending quiet private time there and having the beach all to ourselves. And, the pool on the property is extremely private as well. We strongly recommend that you spend some quality time in the hammock that hangs from an almond tree (yes, really) overlooking the ocean. Even with a large party, there is enough room for everyone to find a private spot when they want to unwind.

We felt very safe taking a walk every day along the coastal road or down to Frenchman’s which is about a mile and a half away. All of the locals made us feel very welcome. This is nothing like the more touristy parts of Jamaica, like Montego Bay, where someone is always trying to sell you something. Everyone in Treasure Beach is laid back and respectful.

We had excellent WIFI connectivity there as well. So, if you need to stay in touch with the real world you can certainly do so.

We always feel like part of the family when we’re at Rainbow Tree. There’s a reason why this villa has so many repeat guests.

“Another amazing week”

This was our 7th stay at Rainbow Tree villa. This year we were 3 couples. The staff, as always, were friendly, accommodating, and attentive to all our needs. Miss Laura and Miss Jenny are excellent cooks preparing fish, jerk chicken, goat, lobster, calalloo, salads and desserts, all truly delicious. Rainbow Tree villa is away from the touristy resorts and the surrounding community is safe and friendly. Upon arrival the staff are there to welcome you, and once you put your belongs away you immediately feel at home. The living space opens up to the veranda and the pool area has lots of shade. Then steps away is the quiet, peaceful beach. A typical day for us is, of course, relaxing at the pool, veranda or the beach. The sunset viewing from the veranda is stunningly beautiful. We take walks along the road and visit with neighbors; watch the local fishermen sell their catch; shop at the many little gift shops up and down the road. The Treasure Beach Women's Group gift shop is wonderful. We are already planing for next year and hope to stay longer than a week.

Treasure Beach is a fabulous community of friendly people with very little tourists. The staff couldn't have been better. Jenny & Laura were great cooks & Calvin took care of the grounds so well. Aman, also the taxi driver, took us in his boat one day to Black River plus to Pelican Bar. What a treat to meet Floyd, the owner of Pelican Bar where we enjoyed a delicious fish lunch and drinks. The last night of our trip we went across the street to a restaurant & Chris, the chef & owner, fixed us an inexpensive dinner of lionfish & lobster.

Our stay at Rainbow Tree Villa was very relaxing and memorable and we are looking to return. Everyone should take a trip to Treasure Beach & stay at the Rainbow Tree Villa.

“Perfect for a family that wants to relax”

People say that when you vacation with children it's "home in a different location" because of all the work you still have to do. That is NOT the case at Rainbow Tree.

This was my family's 5th trip to Rainbow Tree villa. The villa is beautiful - there is artwork everywhere you look, spacious - there are plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for a large family or group, a quick walk to the beach and a pool for the days you want to stay close to the house. It is the perfect vacation spot for us and our two young children.

The villa is in quiet and friendly Treasure Beach, where everyone you see greets you with a warm smile and wave. The villa grounds provide enough privacy for a family but is close enough to restaurants and attractions to keep everyone entertained for your stay.

The staff takes excellent care of our family including cleaning, laundry and preparing every meal (Ms. Laura's cooking is amazing) - this allows us to focus on our family and relax. We can't wait to go back again next year.
