Nice place at a good location like beach. This place is open air with a roof setup. It was nice evening for us. In past we visited this place many times for evening snacks. For me and my wife this place is a special place. Today first time we visited this place for dinner. We actually went there for crab but that was not available due to the season. We ordered Surmai Fish thali and Kolambi Masala Fry Thali. Surmai thali was awesome. Kolambi Thali is good but spicy. Those who love spicy food they will love it. They took 15 to 20 minutes to prepare food which is really good. Food is quite expensive but compared to other chicken dinner which we take in normal hotel it is ok. My suggestion is that reach this restaurant before 9:00 pm so that you will get all the items available. We reached 9:30 pm, we asked for chicken but it was not available. So reach on time. Service is not that professional but it doesn't matter when you get tasty food. This place is the visit-worthy place. It has earned it's name in the books of Ratnagiri itinerary for foodies. Overall its a superb place to try out local cuisine. Thank you.

Being a fish lover I always found it difficult to find a place which serves some authentic konkank food in ratnagiri. Well after visiting this place I would love to share the amazing experience I had here. Talking about the ambience it is a ok. But the view for her is amazing complete Sea view.
The service is good& the staff treated us with great hospitality.

Solkadi : It was a welcome drink we had. It had a nice pungent taste of kokam. Though a a sweet punch of coconut milk .

Bharla bangda fry : This was something different from what usually the restaurants serve. The fish was stuffed with a nice spicy thecha. The fish was well cooked & had a crispy coating of semolina (rawa). The combination of thecha with the fish went really well

Prawns fry: This was one of my favorite here. The prawns had a nice marination of masala & the prawns was coated with a red spicy local masala & the juicy prawns took it to the next level.

Paplet : These were two large piece of pomfret fish. The fish had a delicious coating of rawa. The fish was well cooked & was soft on the inside with a crispy coating on the outside. The quantity Is satisfactory.

Currys

Tikla : The curry was not coconut based was not too thick but spicy and tangy had a very thin texture with raw mango, and tiny fish called kanta in it.

Prawns curry : It had a base of coconut milk though was spicy & had the flavor of prawns. It had a nice creamy texture & was thick comparatively.

Some other curries I tried were chicken curry , mutton curry , pompfret curry , surmai curry , bangda curry . Out of which I liked the chicken , mutton & surmai curries the most.

Crab masala : The crab masala was nice & spicy. It had generous quantity of crab in it which was well cooked.

Prawns masala : This was one of my favorite. The masala had a beautiful flavor of prawns & was spicy & had a perfect texture. The quantity of Prawns was satisfactory & the Prawns were well cooked.

Tisrya masala: It had sea shells with muscle in it which was well cooked & the masala was nice & spicy.

Thali

Special fish thali :
This thali is sufficient for a person & it contains :

1)Fish fry
2)Fish curry
3)kolim chutni
4)Solkadhi
5)tikla
6)kolim thecha
7)Rice
8) chapati/ bhakri

All the components of the thali were up to the mark. Loved the fish fry in which we tried prawns fry which was less oily with some well cooked prawns. The kanta tikla win our heart it was something impressive , it was spicy ,tangy with a unique test

the tisrya masala which had sea shells & also had a rawa fried pompfret , Solkadhi , kolim, bangda curry ,tandalachi bhakri

5 star food

This restaurant came by on recommendation of very old friend, so we decided to have dinner.Since then it has become routine for us to visit this place once whenever we are in town.

Restaurant serves one of the best seafood delicacies in town that is all the worth to try. They have more of KONKANI style dishes with authentic flavouring! It is DEFENITELY one of the most desiring  Authentic seafood restaurants in Ratnagiri. We tried pompherate, Surmai fry with Prawns Masala and some appetizers. Absolutely lip-smacking and finger-licking delights!

This one is -good value for money and a beach facing dine out  ( for the tasty food ).
