We also had the experience of no one there when we arrived....but he had called me to ask timing and we were running a little late. The rooms were just ok...just one night. Happy to have an elevator.
Parking across the street . It was off season so easy. Peter was very generous with WW1 books and advice. Breakfast was ok, lots of choice.
It feels a bit shoe sting....
The whole town felt the same...no good restaurants open. It was late April. Maybe it's much different in the summer.

No one at reception on arrival and after walking round the hotel knocking on doors and ringing bells I had to ring from my mobile only to be told we were early (it was 1745 & I had said we would be there between 1800-1900) so we were a little confused by the attitude. However, once we were finally greeted and shown to our room we were very pleased. Peter was most attentive and gave us advice along with our room keys, after which he said cheerio and was off for the night! We were completely alone in the hotel with no other guests or staff! This did not detract from our stay and the breakfast in the morning was great. Plenty of pastries etc., just for the two of us! We left mid morning again, Peter had disappeared and told us to leave when we wanted leaving the keys in the room. He was such a pleasant chap and the bed/room was very comfortable that we will probably stay here again.

A charming hotel, very cleanly kept, offering a good selection at breakfast. We booked the family suite which is split into 2 rooms which are connected within the same front door space, affective lay making it an apartment of sorts. The hotel appears to be family run and they were hospitable and friendly. The hotel is very well placed for the beach, town centre and Plopsaland. Parking was available for 10 euros a day in a small car park on the opposite side of the road where spaces are reserved for those staying at the hotel.

We booked this via Expedia and after a long day at Plopsa land just wanted to relax for a bit we Found the Hotel which was literally 5 Minutes from the Beach unfortunately though when we booked it said it offered Car Parking on arrival we couldn’t see a car park so I went in to Reception (Unmanned) when someone finally came out she just told us to find somewhere on the street As you can imagine it was a warm day and close to the beach so this was pretty impossible however we did find something eventually then had a 10 Minute walk back to the Hotel, We were given room 23 on the 2nd floor like other reviews this is like a big converted House we chose not to use the lift instead we walked up the narrow very dark stairs our room was quite large, Double bed, and 2 Singles the bathroom looked like an add on with a Shower/Toilet and Sink portioned by a sliding door, The room was very clean though and had A TV with DVD’s for the Children, we didn’t stay In the room much pretty much just for sleeping however even with the Window Open the room was so hot, Breakfast was served in a Conservatory and was continental it was fresh and well presented with a fair amount of Choice However I do think that the €125.00 cost was a bit much considering the Novotel in Bruges only cost €80.00 I would definitely go back to De Panne it was a charming little seaside resort but next time I will stay in the Ibis which was at the top of the high-street

We booked a Plopsa arrangement for the weekend (2 nights) which was advertised as a hotel room. When we arrived at the address provided via e-mail my first impression was that a mistake had been made. This was not a hotel but a normal house, on sale no less and it looked deserted. The telephone numbers in the e-mail weren't answered but I found a third number on the for sale sign at the door. When a young lady arrived we got the tour of the house. The entrance was a dump but our apartment turned out to be on the first floor. We were in a bit of a shock because it was definitely not was we signed up for but with a young and tired kid with us we were in no mood to complain further. In the end the apartment turned out be satisfactory though very dated. It was clean however which was a big deal for us. Breakfast was served in a sort of communal kitchen and the items provided in the buffet were enough for all the guests. Speaking of them: the house is very, very noisy. We were quite literally shaken out of our beds when a big family arrived late in the evening. We could follow their conversations easily as the walked from the entrance to their apartment on the second floor. All in all we did have a good time and were satisfied but I have to say that the advertising was misleading and the total sum seemed a bit high for what we got.

Room Tip: Make sure you get a hotel room when you book the Plopsa arrangement if that is what you want and you don't want the B&B.
