There is no pretending at L'arbre de Mai ...you get a great welcome , no fake smile or over-promising bill of fare. The hotel is cute and romantic but also very clean, the food is good, home-made and served with a big smile , same story at breakfast. The owners are very artistic , give a good bohemian twist to their hotel & restaurant and deliver an uncomplicated but authentic stay in a Provencal village. Just one tip , book room Nr 4 , the one with balcony ...perfect for an evening drink ...with a view. Well worth a visit.

Room tip: Room Nr 4 is on the top floor and has a nice balcony with a great view

We had the room with the balcony - excellent view. Perfect breakfast. One thing is - there is no parking, because you are in the middle of this ancient village. But therefore you do not have any noisy disturbances. Very nice service by Carl.Thank you!

We went here more than once during our two weeks in Cucuron, as the food is better than average, and some things are delicious (such as the roasted eggplant). This is a casual place, full of locals, and a sure thing as far as the food is concerned. The waiter is also friendly and fun to be around

We did stay two nights at l'Arbre de Mai . We were not too impressed by the establishment . It was only O.K .
We thought Cucuron would be a good base for touring the region , and it was .
It's a lovely village . We have enjoyed strolling the narrow , sometimes steep alleys , enjoyed the Tuesday market on the main square and also had two lovely dinners in the village restaurants (See separate reviews) .
Parking your car can be a problem . The only empty space we have found was at a public parking lot near the far end of the main square (Place de l'Etang) , some 12 minutes walk from our room at l'Arbre de Mai .
Mind you : No Wi Fi in the room , no elevator .

Clean hotel, comfortable rooms (a/c worked too!), clean sheets, very friendly host, excellent breakfast, beautiful setting and location, what more could one ask for. We were very pleased with our experience at this hotel. Well situated within the village.
