The place is super scenic, so beautiful & peaceful. Grounds are immaculately clean & well preserved. The green areas are picturesque. Its just a perfectly beautiful resort. The pools are great for families, the Atlantic pool is just breathtaking you need to visit it, views are incredible & the food at its restsurant is fantastic, the cheese omellette best one i have had in years, the lady there helped us also in finding things to do in the area, she delivered with A stars, we took her reconmendations & we were not dissappointed. The resort sits just above Prainha beach & with your pass you can use the lift down. Explore the beach at low tide its magnificent. The little beach to your right is perfect for families & chiringuito there has value for money & tasty food. Beware with the low tides & high tides, most cases you cannot walk back were you came from if the high tide comes in so beware, but you have alternative routes. If not sure ask staff members or locals everyone is super friendly & helpful. The supermarket is well kitted out with what you need for your stay, fresh fruit & bread everyday.
You have a number of restsurants on site, Italian, the Restaurants on the beach too. We are staying in an apartment, one bedroom but sleeps atleast 5 comfortably, apartment is very big & clean, a bit worn out the sofa & armchair(just needs new covers). The stove is gas, you have all the utensils for cooking, need lighter & washing up liquid as its not provided. Kitchen is spotless & fridge very good with an ice dispenser. Room is big & lots of storage space. Bathroom you need to bring your soaps & toiletries. Toilet paper is provided. No hairdryer. Cleaning is done, but not everyday. Change of towels & linen on third day of stay. There is no wifi, it has to be paid for. There is no airconditioning, but not needed as its pretty cool in the apartments & in the evening you cannot keep the windows open because it can get chilly. My apartment is located near the road it can be quite noisy at times but with windows shut its fine, so avoid Apartments near the G & L block if you dont want to be near the road. The apartment i would give it a good 4 stars, it has balconies on both sides too, but the only really negative thing about the apartment is the ancient TV, I think its an antique almost amusing due to the fact that it just does not go with the rest of the quality & service provided at the resort. So to conclude, this place i found it at first upon booking pricey, but having stayed here & explored the rest of Portimao, Lagoa & Alvor, I have found that it is the best location of all & has everything you need, beaches, pools restaurants & peace. You can just park your car & forget using it during your stay. Even the taxis are cheap. You pay for the amenities which are perfect & top notch. I am defo coming back again but will try to hire a villa instead. The staff are super friendly & helpful.

Weekend retreat with the whole family. The younger ones really enjoyed the kids park. We had a chance earlier to try the new paddle tennis court that looks amazing! We had an incredible meal at the pool bar with the unforgettable view! The beach at short walking distance is the cherry on top of the cake. Many thanks!!

I am going there for 17 years already since my twins born. Since then may friends are joining and we can be more than 20 in several small houses.
This is a great place to have children and teenagers. Really safe with elevators to the beach that helps a lot with small kids. The oceanic swimming pool is amazing

Just back from a week in Alvor, everything about the accommodation, facilities, and Alvor was fabulous. The pool at the hotel was just what we needed for our 2 year old and the Atlantic pool was stunning. We had a one bed apt which was well equipped, very big and had a lovely view of the sea. Will definitely be returning.
