We were staying in Alvor and saw the Village Inn advertised on the free Alvor map. It was my son's 21st birthday, so wanted something special and we weren't disappointed. I phoned to make the booking after reading the reviews on trip adviser. I explained to Kathie it was my son's birthday and asked would it be possible to get a cake and bring balloons. Kathie didn't disappoint. She provided a beautiful cake and even had the dining area decorated with balloons.
The Village Inn is small,very quirky and colourful. The food was delicious, just like home made cooking should be and a great choice.
Kathie couldn't have been friendlier and made us feel very welcome and made a special effort for my son's birthday, making it a memorable evening.

Lovely place, very charmed no Canadian hostess. Great menu, mix of cuisines, all highly accomplished and great portions. Small though so I would advise booking. Recommended dishes were prawn rarebit, stuffed mushrooms, Persian lamb, Dover sole

Not been for a while but Kathie is a great host and food was great would recommend to anyone to visit the restaurant

We've had a great evening at Village Inn! The ambiance is cosy, the host is really nice and helpful and the food is very tasty. I had the salmon and it was delicious, best I ever had! Perfectly cooked and great flavours because of the spices and herbs. As a dessert we shared a apple crumble with icecream; good choice to share. It was warm, homemade and extremely tasteful. We recommend anybody to eat here!
