“A magical oasis”
Reviewed June 14, 2017 for a stay in May 2017

This was our eighth visit to Gaucin but the first time we have stayed at Casa Mosaica and I wish we had discovered it earlier. It is a true oasis in the heart of the village, close to all amenities and restaurants yet secluded and private. Emma has created a cosseting space for a truly relaxing holiday, and is a consummate host, not intrusive at all yet there if you need her, with her wealth of knowledge about the village and the area. We loved it, and can't wait to go back again.

“The best place in Gaucin”
Reviewed June 13, 2017 for a stay in May 2017

Behind high walls in the more modern and unassuming part of Gaucin, near the Ronda road, lies a big surprise...Casa Mosaica. Its two-bedroom apartment is the ground-floor part of the big house, making it flow naturally into the surrounding gardens, with large swimming pool, fountains, and of course, many stunning mosaics. And as you step through the threshold, you realise that you're not just in Andalucia's most breathtaking hilltop village; you're somehow also in Morocco. It's all around you, inside and out, full of decorative details in the hallways, bedrooms and ensuites, with stand-out features like the full-length mosaic frieze of ancient geese in the kitchen. Stunning, but also comfortable and relaxing.
So thank you, Emma, for creating this unique oasis, and letting us experience it for a while. I've been coming to Gaucin almost every year since 1998, staying in many different village properties, at different seasons. But to see and walk in these gardens in May is something special, that lifts this Moroccan dream into first place. The best you can get in Gaucin.

Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review, I greatly appreciate what you have said and hope to welcome you another time to Casa Mosaica. PS I remembered to bring the blue top back to London this time, so let me know if you are in town in September.

“The best Holiday Accomodation”
Reviewed August 9, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

It doesn't get better than this. The standard of the accommodation and facilities are fantastic. This is the best holiday accommodation I have ever stayed in. The location is wonderful. A very friendly local community. Very welcoming. Lots of nearby places to see and plenty of good value places to eat.

A great family location. Lovely pool, and nearby walks. The local beach we visited was perfect and virtually deserted.

“Fantastic”
Reviewed October 8, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Fantastic property in a lovely setting and beautifully furnished. A real home from home with everything catered for. A lovely swimming pool a few steps away from the doors of all rooms. Emma is a charming host and will do as much or as little as you want - plus is a mine of information about Gaucin and the surrounding area. We stayed with our 1 year old boy and even a cot bed and high chair were provided. Really cannot recommend Casa Mosaica highly enough.

“Stunning”
Reviewed September 14, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

My friend and I have just spent our 5th holiday at Casa Mosaica. It is a calm oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the costas. By the time we leave we have already re booked as the apartment, pool and gardens are lovely places to spent time in. Over the 5 years we have been visiting we find ourselves spending more times eating dinner in the magical gardens.
Gaucin is a lovely village with some very good restaurants and tapas bars. We now feel like a local. Thanks Emma

“Wonderful stay in a truly unique and beautiful casa !”
Reviewed July 8, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

I stayed at Casa Mosaica for a week in June and found Emma to be a wonderful host and her home is really special. The apartment is like a house and has a superb terrace opening to the pool on one side and doors to the beautiful garden on the other side. The Moroccan influence throughout the house is amazing and it is well equipped with everything you need. The evening sunsets are gorgeous and relaxing by the pool or in the garden, perfect after a busy day. There ia lots to explore in this region of Spain and Gaucin makes a great base.

“Superbly presented, unique design, gardens & pool.”
Reviewed September 8, 2013 for a stay in September 2013

A little bit of paradise behind an unassuming front entrance. Spotlessly clean, 2 bedrooms with en-suites and a large kitchen + dining + sitting room. Hopefully you won't be sat inside; there are two outside area's in which to sit. One is a kitchen terrace leading to poolside (all tastefully floodlit at night) the other is in gardens with small fountain, fish pond and a couple of area's in which to sit (and barbecue if you don't eat out... again illuminated with subtle night time lighting). Moroccan influences throughout with stunning mosaics both inside and out. Friendly host (lives upstairs and there if needed) Fantastic. Faultless.
