We stayed at the Jardi for my wife’s 60th birthday at the end of July; the height of the season and yet it was an island of tranquillity, romance and style, detached from the mayhem of the world.
The hotel is hidden in the picturesque back streets of Mahon yet only three minutes walk from the main old town plaza with shops, restaurants and “El Clauster” centre.
We had a romantic loft room with beautiful beams, porthole widows and simple stylish furnishing, king-size bed and stand alone bath. (see photos)
Above the room is a sun area overlooking the whole of Mahon old town, great for sunbathing in the day or watching the sunset at night.
The restaurant, for breakfast or to eat at night is in the quaint old courtyard of the hotel, planted with orange trees, beautifully planted pots and a “chill-out” balcony area.
….and I cannot complete this review without mentioning the wonderful friendly staff who did everything to make us feel welcomed and at home and did everything to make our stay so enjoyable.More
