“Great place to stay!”

Everything we needed for a few days in the surrounding mountains - well equipped, takes dogs, easily warmed when we got back wet and cold.
We wanted a base for getting out to the Munros in the area with local shops and pubs - having camped in the area before we knew Newtonmore would be fine. Croft holidays however, exceeded expectations - situated just out of the village with superb views and excellent facilities we had a great time.
Will be back as we have more Munros nearby still to get up!

ps. Drying room a very useful facility in November!

Plus points:
1. Conveniently located off A9, Spar Petrol station and Co-op superstore in walking distance. Safe area to walk and go out in dark.
2. Excellent views of the Cairngorms mountain range. Could walk up the hills around. Real rural experience. Don't forget your wellies for hill walking ! Car is a must.
3. Very clean, linen and toiletries included. No extra charge for electricity. No damage deposit (leave the property in good condition to keep the good will !). Washing machine and dehumidified drying room included !!
4. If bad weather keeps you indoors, then there is TV, DVD player, stereo player and an excellent variety of books.
5. Plenty of cutlery, as well as tea and coffee to start you off.
6. More than adequate central heating and good 'power shower'
7. Excellent value for money.
8. Would certainly use the cottage again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Minus points:
If it snows, one would need a 4x4 to get up there.
