“Very well appointed house in quiet area within easy walking distance of most facilities”
Reviewed November 6, 2015 for a stay in October 2015

This is a very comfortable little bungalow situated in a quiet street with shops, hotels, cafes, and restaurants within easy walking distance with others a short ride away at Kinggussie. It is very well appointed. By keeping the bird feeders topped up we were able to watch a whole number of different garden birds close up from the kitchen/dining room window. It is ideally located for the Munros of the Moadlhliaths, Glen Feshie, Aviemore and the Cairngorms. There is also some lovely walking within the immediate area - Glen Banchor and a circular walk of Newtonmore.

“Excellent!”
Reviewed June 26, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the Highlands and this was only enhanced by this accommodation. As a previous review mentioned this cottage is best described as a home from home. We found it very comfortable with everything you could need even down to a great selection of cd's! The owner was always on hand via a text message with any queries we might have. This is defiantly a place you will come back to and feel completely relaxed after a hard days sightseeing. The property is brilliantly situated for a great variety of sightseeing trips. The village is lovely and very welcoming but a car would be advisable for trips further afield. We are planning to make another trip to see more of this stunning area at some point and will be happy to stay here again.

“Best value cottage in the Highlands”
Reviewed August 3, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We were really surprised on entering the cottage. The photos do not do it justice. It was comfortable, well equipped and easily sleeps four. We had thought the second bedroom was also the living area but there were two bedrooms. One of our group found their bed a little too hard but everyone else was more than happy. The kitchen had everything you needed for self catering and the lounge offered a peaceful haven for relaxing in the evening. Linen and towels were excellent. The garden was large and secure making it ideal for our dog. The local Co-op was on the doorstep and the village a minute away with tea rooms, post office and hotels. The folk museum was a short drive away and a good days outing as was the wildlife park. A really great base to explore the Highlands with its lochs, mountains and fantastic scenery. The owner, Caroline, was also very helpful and when an unavoidable problem with the toilet arose, she arranged a plumber who came and fixed it the same day. Excellent all round!
