Having been to Canonnier golf& spa on 11march ,having now got home ,I can reflect on my stay there .
Disappointed!! Was led to believe it was idllyic,not the case .
On arrival,kept waiting in heat outside ,given sweet drink but no water ,kept asking but none arrived.
Poor beach,lots of coral,sea weed .take your beach shoes.
Poor service,most but not all of the staff could not be bothered with you ,ignoring you,some rude to my wife
Poor food ,lots of ants,flys in buffet restaurant,not a lot of choice of food ,constantly running out,
No matter what time of day eating,same issues,not replenishing food .
Had to resort to children's menu for lunch or a baguette in Planteur bar .
Got paint over calves from chairs in buffet restaurant,on numerous occasions.
Man came with turpentine and tried to rub off my leg and my friends also.not good!!
Got paint on new shoes also ,but failed to rectify as would not let near them with turpentine!
Navigator bar /restaurant food was poor choice for main in evening.
Serenata restaurant,food was poor choice for main in evening.
Reluctantly had to eat in buffet most nights,pizza & pasta ok !
Breakfast best meal of the day ,however same issues ,not replenish food .
All in all ,would I stay here again ,NO !
14.5 hour flight plus 3hours stop over in Dubai to arrive in paradise !!
Disappointed is the only word I can use .

Me and my husband went to Mauritius on a Easter holiday for two weeks. We stayed at the Canonnier Beachcomber hotel. We highly recommend this hotel because of it's beautiful setting and beach. The staff is great and the food is excellent. Location is good and easy access to taxi.

We spent 7 wonderful and unforgettable days in the hotel. All started at the reception where Mr. Sendilen welcomed us so charming. The resort is fantastic with its breathtaking views and superfriendly employees.
But Most of our time we spent at the boathouse, doing waterski, surfing, snorkeling,....the girls loved it. The crew is really great! ALL of them are so lovely, nice , gentle and helpful . Always smiling and joking and making you feel really relaxed. Alvin, Cheng(Kevin:-)), Manné, Aurelién, Roshan, Toot?, and all the others. Thank you so much!

The resort location is very beautiful and the beach n views are just awesome. Loved our 6 days stay there. The staff is very friendly, housekeeping is very nice, our host mr. seudilen was very polite n wonderful person. Restaurant staff was also very co operative friendly. Rooms very clean and beautiful. Water and other activities was a nice experience.

Great location, beautiful room. Great housekeeping. Friendly check in and luggage service. So what is missing? The employees in the restaurants and the bar looks like they hate their lives or at least their jobs. Slow and unprofessional (insecure?) service. I get the feeling that we as guests are a burden. And as a holiday guest, that's not what you want to experience. And that is too bad. The hotel has every potensial to rise and shine! If they add the little things such as a smile, maybe a drink boogie with water bottles at the beaches,a chilled face towel or fruit once a day around the pool area, the hotel would rise from average to great. It hurts to see, and experience, how this resort misses out on being GREAT because of the lack of the "no cost" little things.

Room Tip: Room 252 is great!
