I have given this place 4 stars although it was probably more of a 3.5 for our stay. It is away from the hustle and bustle but only a few minutes walk to the beach and other bars and restaurants. The rooms were very nice, huge in fact. Great shower, we had a large balcony/terrace overlooking the pool. There were a few things that didn't quite gel like nowhere to put luggage to keep it off the floor, odd considering the amount of floor space and the fact that most people seemed to be having 4 to 7 day stays.
The pool was shaded by nearby trees which could be a problem for some but it was well used and was kept clean at all times. Breakfast, whilst tasty, was a disappointment compared with other places we stayed. Great options with eggs but not much in terms of Sri Lankan choices. Fresh fruit and juice was great though. We never ate here in the evening as it was nicer to sit at a beachside restaurant due to the humidity whilst we were there.
Most staff were very good, very helpful, good service although one or two looked like they wanted to be somewhere else. Wifi was pretty good, there were yoga classes every morning and overall it was a good place to stay.More
