My son had been here in 2007 along with his cousin. My nephew raved about it, calling it a "Viking Palace". While he may have missed the mark in terms of ethnicity, he was spot on in describing the Jagd as outstanding. We were here for two nights in December, complete with all the decorations and senses of the season. The personal touch of Armin and Tina make you truly feel like guests in their home. The food was delicious and plentiful, served by an efficient and engaging staff. We even were given a private tour of the wine cellar. Our room was warm and inviting. The little touches like a drink upon arrival and a plate of various cookies left in your room only add to the sense you are family. While we were there it snowed one whole day. Just to relax in the spa watching the snow fall, reading and napping, taking advantage of the spa amenities, and seeing the people playing in the outdoor pool was an experience I do not think I will ever forget. Here I am a month later wondering when I can return.

From arrival to departure I would recommend the Jagdhof to all as the perfect escape.

We stayed here for February 1/2 term 2008 with our 2 children aged 7 and 10 and also with the grandparents. The hotel is lovely, room great, food fabulous, heated boot room great but could do with 2 lockers for 4 people. Pool & spa also great. Only draw back is the fact that you have to get the mini bus to the slopes, but they were always on time and drivers very helpful.

We have been staying at the Jagdhof for many years. We started in our thirties. Continue in our forties. We will return until we can no longer return. The Jagdhof encompasses all that elegance and the simple art of living - beautifully - can embrace. I say that not as a nostalgic, but as some one who has had the fortune to stay in some of the finest resorts and hotels in America and some of the wonderful resorts, auberges and Gasthauses in Europe -- and also in some of the most basic on both continents. There are few places and spaces in this world which perfectly bring together well-being, silence, relaxation and nourishment in a wonderful setting. We knew the Jagdhof when Armin's parents instilled their vision. We watched it in transition. We witness it now. It is a place that honors its traditions, yet respects the movement of time and culture. World class spa. World class cuisine. World class wine. Beauty. Elegance. Inspiration. Respite. Integrity. Respect. Honor for ones place in life - rich or poor. Mutual respect for personal space. I cannot think of a place where these ideals are honored more greatly. Armin - Tina -- we saw your kids and little ones -- growing into beautiful adults. we have witnessed you with your guests many nights. Raised a glass occasionally with you. Watched you with your staff and your neighbors. You are a gift to us all. May we encourage any of you to visit this treasured space in Austria.

We were here in a short holiday in late april for skiing. The Gletcher ski area is excelent, with long slopes and medium difficulty, excelent rental and depo conditions.Snow was excelent. The only complain is that they do not prepare the slopes perfect, like in other parts of tyrol.
Jagdhof hotel is a wonderful small family run hotel, situated in a peacefull place 10 min walk to the center of the village, which is very small but clean an well keeped. We have a apartment zwolfer,in the new building, which is very large with separate toilete and bathroom, sleaping area with double bed and a sitting area with sofa and table and a small fire place. It also have a wonderful big balcony with great views of the glacier and village. The entire hotel is very warm and friendly, making you feel like home.It is very clean and in excelent condition. The pool area is inside and also outside ,conected, warm water and fitted with cascades and whirlpools. The wellnes is large and included a lot of posibilites. Both breakfast and dinner was excelent and the service was incredible.CONGRATULATIONS!!
A nice touch is that the owners are allover presents, give you indications and speeak with you. Also on check in and out they are there thanking you for the visit and welcome.
EXCELENT!

Stayed at the Jagdhof for a one-week ski trip in February 2007 with the entire family (mom, dad, 2 girls aged 12 and 4, plus our au pair). The interior of the hotel is beautiful (common areas, restaurants, rooms, spa/pool). I disagree with previous reviewers in that the overall style is indeed traditional Austrian, but not "Kitsch" in any way. We stayed in a family suite (3BR with living area) which was beautiful and quiet with a lovely view. Service was very good and food at the hotel was excellent (outstanding breakfast buffet, great multi-course dinners).
The only fault I can find with the hotel is the location: it is indeed in the middle of the village (although there are some mountain views from the rooms) and requires a 20-30 minute bus transfer to the base station of the main ski area. On the other hand, Neustift is easily reached in about 20-30 minutes from the Innsbruck airport which offers direct flights to a number of European cities.
All in all, I would highly recommend (unless you are an avid skier who wants to spend every minute on the slopes).
