Very small cozy restaurant tucked away in the streets of Omis. There is a Charcoal open fire pit outside where all the customers can see all the meats being prepared. Filipe speaks a little bit of many languages, and was a very gracious host. The food took a little while to prepare, but we took this as a good sign since it was being prepared directly for us. There are a few menu items (like roast lamb) that require advanced notice, so if you’re looking for that you will want to call in a reservation in advance. The fish soup that I had was absolutely fantastic., And the assorted fish platter was also delicious. Please remember that Filipe does not except credit cards. Although he does except Euros and Kuna. After our meal he offered us homemade creme puffs and sherry that his grandma makes. What a treat!

Had lunch starting with Damatian Plater which was very good. We had beef soup which was very tasty although not a lot of beef in it. Once we finished our meals we received a custard cake which was excellent. Also received a sample of a cherry liquor which was made by Filip's mom. It was unbelievable, so tasty and not overly sweet.
Wish we could return for another meal.

We stopped in for lunch in the courtyard and returned for dinner. The squid was grilled and seasoned perfectly. In the evening we devoured the skewered meats after climbing to the Mirabella Fortress. The red pepper/eggplant condiment was a tasty addition to the potatoes and grilled vegetables. Our host shared pictures of his garden and tales of his Mother's wine. A short walk into the Old Town.

Phillippe made us so welcome when we stopped for lunch at a boat trip in beautiful Omis, that we travelled back there one evening from Split especially come for dinner. It did not disappoint! The scampi came straight from the sea, griddled on the fire and supplied with nutcrackers! Pancakes and honey for pudding. Yum Phillippe has his own farm, including honey bees, so everything on your plate is totally fresh. Okay so the locals love it - so it's cheap!
