Quite underwhelming and extremely overpriced. We were still far away from DDay sights. Would not stay there again. It is on the beach, but rooms were small- felt like we were on a cruise ship. The staff were friendly but we don’t require a lot.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, I can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of.

Sincerely,

Philippe Bellengé

My partner and I stayed at the Riva Bella for two nights. The cost of the room did not match its condition. The shower room and toilet were so small that it was difficult to get in and close the doors. The toilet smelled of urine and the carpet had large bleach stains on it. The staff were very helpful and friendly the restaurant was good but overall our stay was disappointing.

My wife and I visit this hotel at least twice a year. We cannot fault the staff. This being a Service Industry, staff come and go, but service remains high.
However, a couple of years ago I started noticing minor, little things that are indicative of gradual decline.
For instance, the pens, propelling pencils and scribble pads no longer appeared next to the telephone. No big deal, I hear you say!
This year (2019) a great deal of money was spent on the sea facing (North) side of the hotel. Massive toughened glass was placed to shield guests, lounging outside from the elements. Obviously this must have cost a lot of money.
What is not to like?
BUT..and this is a big BUT. Management has decided to decimate their loyal staffs wages by as much as £1400 a year (Current exchange values)
They are now expected to make up the shortfall by 'Productivity'
How? Apparently no-one from management has come up with a game plan.
Does someone from the Spa stand in the road with a reflective jacket and divert passing traffic into the hotel car park, and then (presumably at gun point) force them into the premises to spend their money? Are people in the restaurant forced to order extra food?
I make this point, because there are now little groups of what we called when I was in the R.N. 'Mutinous gatherings'
It saddens me that when we return (if we are allowed to after this) the best of the staff may well of departed, much like their pensions.
It really does sadden me.

A modern building facing the dunes and the Channel. The interior is light and airy, and the rooms, though small, are well designed, but carpets in room and in dining room need replacing. The hotel promotes itself as a spa and a centre of thelassotherapy, but it is a convenient, pleasant and quiet place to stay overnight before arriving in or leaving France on the cross-channel ferry.

Room tip: A suite might be worth considering for a longer stay.

We stayed at this Hotel for 4 nights and found it a great place to stay. Location is just superb there right on the nice beach, and also close to the casino, the tourist info and the main street. Staff was friendly and the Hotel clean and comfortable.
