Although the walk to the beautiful beach was 5 minutes away, the apartment despite being clean was small, only had 1 window (not good if you're claustrophobic) and you had to pay extra for air conditioning. Very noisy all around us all through the night, we were woken at 5.30 every single morning by the same guys basically shouting there conversation for about an hour. Very touristy area, all speak English. The apartment has a bar named the Drunken Duck - everything you imagine coming along with that name. Small swimming pool.

Would not recommend, unless you hire a car or quad (we did one of the days) so you can find quaint traditional Greek villages. It was not quaint or charming near the apartment, no authenticity. We went for a beach holiday, apparently paid less by £500, I would not have paid full price let alone pay what we did again. Might try another part of the island or Greece itself.

Just returned from a relaxing 10 night stay at Matamy Beach in Stalis. Even though we didn't arrive until after 4 am Costa's could not have given us a more friendlier welcome.
Apartment room and bathroom very clean, maid service everyday and very polite, towels changed every other day
Apartment dining area consisted of fridge, microwave, 2 ring hob and all cooking utensils needed, usual plates,cups,glasses,cutlery all very clean
Small swimming pool and sun lounges available, beaches within 5 min walking distance either side of the apartment block
Stella and Costa's always made you feel welcome and couldn't do enough for you
The apartment block also consisted of the Drunken Duck bar run by the owners (pool table, large screen tv, limited bar snacks, wide range of drinks, seating inside and outside with a view of the sea

Hotel is in the perfect location and owners are friendly I loved our top floor room which has the best sea view ever would definitely stay here again in this very room :) inside it was basic & cleaned every day which is all you need ! Did not use pool area as it was very small we went to the lovely beach just 2mins walk away. The only thing I could fault is no room for shower before departure a key was given for a room which was very dirty and not fit for use and also the area for sunbathing could do with a little update with new sunbeds
