My partner and I made a drunken decision to book a last minute holiday here with Secret Escapes. It could possibly be my best drunken decision yet!
So the "road" (if you can call it that) leading to the hotel is a little hairy as there's barely enough room for two vehicles and it's steep and rocky. Once you hit the car park, you're pretty much in paradise. The hotel overlooks the stunning views of the Tuscan countryside, it's so well-kept, the grounds are beautiful, and the pool is incredible.
The staff were mostly very attentive, the breakfast selection is varied and quite tasty. The restaurant food is exceptional (although quite pricey).
The only thing that let it down for us was the 1 hour spa slot we had. It's not very relaxing as you can hear a lot of doors banging, the shower only had one temperature - scolding, and it didn't feel very private as people kept walking past the sauna.
I would definitely go again though, we had an amazing time, and with it having minimal rooms we had the pool and outside areas to ourselves most of the time.
Thank you to all the staff there who made our stay so comfortable!More
