On my third visit to Locanda Pantanello I was accompanied by 5 friends and was eager to share the Locanda experience with them. Our rooms were lovely, well appointed, comfortable and spotless. Morena's breakfasts and dinners were fabulous. My favorite is her cinghiali , wild boar shot by Pietro and perfectly prepared. We also enjoyed, rabbit, pork, beef, home made pasta every night, yummy deserts, plentiful wine and grappa.
The family is marvelously accommodating and feels like my Italian family. Twice I have spent a week with them, and once only 3 nights. Their daughter, Flaminia, acted as our tour guide, taking us for a hike in the Vie Cave to Sovana, to Siena, to Vulci, Orvieto, and a marvelous festival in Aquapendente.
In my opinion, Locanda Pantanello, just outside Pitigliano, is the ultimate Tuscan experience.

Room Tip: All the rooms have good views and can be adapted for couples or friends.

This is essentially a family farm with a separate adjacent building for guests. We stayed in the largest room on the second floor which was simply decorated with comfortable bed , a small TV, night stands , bed lights and a couch and desk. The bathroom was small, but everything worked fine with the shower, sink, and toilet. The evening meal in the living /dining room area of the farm house was superb. Dinner included three courses, a bottle of wine and all the grappa we wanted. A wonderful breakfast twas included and the total bill was190 Euros. The farm is located well outside the village of Pitigliano in Tuscany and we liked being in the country which is why we decided to eat at the farm. The owners are very warm and helpful, The mother is an excellent cook and her two adult daughters help her and speak English. It is a particularly interesting experience to stay with a family and eat such fresh and home cooked foods. The only caveat is there is no AC. The rooms do have fans and we did not need to use the fan when we were there

The food is really very good with good wine and grappa. Nicely decorated rooms. Very friendly staff. Clean swimmingpool with sunroof.
Rather small area upstairs to sit, with the owners away you are not allowed to sit inside the livingroom (and with some bad luck it was just too cold in the evening to sit outside).
Good fun for one or two nights. Pitigliano is a nice and small town to visit, it is nearby. Coast with lunchopportunities not too far away.

Room Tip: all rooms have their own specific details: nicely decorated

It was our first trip to Tuscany and after a rummage through countless retreats we stumbled across this beaut! From the location to the incredibly friendly and accommodating family that make you feel so welcome from when you arrive to the sad day of departure! I was lucky enough to spend my birthday there and we had a splendid 4 course meal in their own dinning room freshly prepared using their own produce, the homemade chocolate torte (with an added candle!) was to die for! We would definitely return if we was to visit Tuscany again. Highly recommend to all!

(p.s good luck with the wedding!)

We really enjoyed our stay here. The family was charming and so friendly. The rooms are classy, with gorgeous Italian tiles, different in every bathroom. Each room is different and all are lovely; you can't go wrong with any of them. There is a nice sitting area just outside the hallway to the rooms, which are up a short flight of outside steps and separated from the rest of the house and the dining room. The best part were the evening meals. Delicious and top-quality local cuisine, including home-made pastas and desserts, and wonderful bruschetta toasted on a rack in the fireplace. A very special B&B.
