We had spent the day in Florence and decided to catch an early bus back to the "Castle" ABB we were renting for the week.Nicola our host had told us on our first night that this was a great local place to have a meal.We walked from the Castle and found ourselves trapesing through the alleys of Poggibonsi.Finding the restaurant we found the first door locked and were ready to leave when a young lady(Jennifer) who turned out to be our waitress showed us another door. She sat us and quickly brought an Amuse Bruschetta! and complimentary glass of champagne! We ordered a great bottle of Brunello and decided on a meal plan. My wife ordered the lasagna, and it was the "Wild Boar" Pappradelle for me.Yep we hit a home run! The Lasangna was rimmed with smoked Gouda, that gave it a wonderful level. It was put together in thin layers of pasta, with just enough sauce to cheese to make it cut like a perfect pie crust! My Dish was Amazing! Perfect cook on the pasta, the meat was really tasty(Had to be simmered all day) We were filling up fast but had to try the Filet w/ Mushrooms-Great choice! Very flavorful, cooked perfectly med-rare! We had the house roasted potatoes to pair with this. We share this meal and we're both really happy with the quality.I have not mentioned Jennifer our waitress because she was there when you needed her but not hovering.Great meal Bazzino! I did not get to compliment the chef"Well Done"A complimentary glass of homemade lemoncello and we were set.
