Seamew is a lovely holiday cottage situated in a perfect location in Cawsand. A few minutes from the main square with a lovely pub, shop and beach. The cottage has been wonderfully renovated and has everything you need. All the bedrooms are light and airy and the downstairs living space is really cosey with sofas and a dining table. Perfect if you want an evening in.
Cawsand and Kingsand are lovely villages with a few great pubs for drinks and food but make sure you book when it's busy.
Seamew is a lovely base for exploring the local area which has so much to offer for all ages.
We had a great time staying in Seamew and will definitely be booking again in the future.
This cottage is situated between the villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, which between them host 4 pubs, 2 cafes and a local shop. It is an ideal location to base yourself if exploring South Cornwall or even to nip across via the water taxi from Cawsand beach to Plymouth. The cottage itself was extremely tidy, well equipped with dishwasher, washer/dryer, a few games, everything you could require in a home from home. It felt light and airy, especially with the stable door open. Though it is 2 bedroomed, there is a reasonably sized study with a futon, which can be used at an additional cost. There is not a seaview, but if you step out side the front door, walk 10 yards, there is a beautiful view over looking Cawsand beach. We stayed for a week with 2 children, and it was perfect for our requirements, 2 beaches within close proximity and from our point of view the Cross Keys, Halfway House and Devonport Inn, provide good food.
One thing to note, it may not be suitable for people with reduced mobility, as it is located uphill from both car parks in Kingsand and Cawsand, and there is no parking outside, other than a quick drop off.
We've now stayed in 3 properties in Kingsand / Cawsand over the last few years and this is certainly up there with the rest of them and I'd be more than happy to rent this property again.
Fantastic location, only one minute from the Beach, with shops and pubs and cafes.Very friendly locals, and a handy ferry from Cawsand beach to Plymouth Barbican.Delightful three bedroom cottage with everything you cold possibly need for a lovely holiday. We are looking forward to our fourth consecutive year at Seamew in 2017.
We first discovered SeaMew a few years ago and since then it is our family bolthole whenever we visit Cornwall.
The cottage itself is beautifully and tastefully decorated and provides a true home from home atmosphere with everything provided you could need on holiday and then some. It is also always spotlessly clean.
The beds are probably the most comfortable we have ever slept in away from home and there is a fantastic bathroom with walk-in power shower.
The cottage also comes equipped with Multi channel TV and free WiFi.
Step outside the cottage and you are in the midst of the fantastic peaceful but friendly twin villages of Kingsand and Cawsand and all they have to offer including three brilliant family-friendly beaches, amazing pubs serving great food and one or two small but well appointed shops.
If you are looking to escape from it all and find a true hide away in Cornwall then we can't recommend SeaMew highly enough.
