Great Hotel

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed May 26, 2024via mobile
Our stay here was absolutely fantastic, the room was very comfortable, great bed , very clean , maid service every day. The food was brilliant. Let's start with breakfast, top-notch, then the evening meals in the bar, and Mulberry restaurant was top quality food cooked to the highest of standards with great ingredients. The location of the hotel is great. Sandringham, Holkham Hall, and Oxburgh Hall are all very close and well worth a visit. We will be returning soon

We were four Blokes walking the Peddars Way and the North Norfolk Coastal Path. Needed a stop in Sedgeford but our original booking was cancelled and we needed to relocate to the Heacham Manor Hotel. The rooms and beds at this hotel were excellent. Harvey in the Pavilion Bar and in the Main Hotel later was also excellent. The restaurant staff both at the evening meal and breakfast appeared a bit under pressure due to a large party from the MG Owners club who were also present at the time. The breakfast could have been better. In particular the bacon which was underdone. It was mentioned to the staff and four lots of bacon were taken away and came back incinerated ten minutes later. Just a little more care and it could be a lot better.

Lovely looking manor in beautiful surroundings - probably paying for location. Sadly though our room did not meet expectations- we stayed for 2 nights after getting married and the room was just a bit shabby. Water stains on the wallpaper and green limescale on the bath tap. The breakfast was a self serve including drinks - similar to what you would get in a well known hotel chain or an all inclusive in Spain. The cooked breakfast was table service with no opportunity to swap items, husbands sandwich was dripping with grease. Waitress stood so far back she could not hear us and then did the same to the next table where the customer could not hear her. We wanted a nice 2 nights in luxury after our wedding and feel quite let down, we will not return.

We have just had a wonderful stay at Heacham Manor Hotel. The food & service in the Mulberry Restaurant was excellent for both evening meal & breakfast.

Davina that works in the Pavilion & Hotel bar was so attentive providing great service with a smile.

The dog friendly cottage was spacious with comfortable beds.

The location was perfect for morning walks to the beach & quiet afternoons on the terrace of the Pavilion.

Thank you Guys, you exceeded our expectations, we will be returning.

What a lovely hotel and dinner in the restaurant on the first evening, only to be spoilt by the rugby scrum at breakfast.

We visited for much needed rest and recuperation, only to find the next morning that breakfast was all self service except the hot main course. Even coffee and tea had to be made in the machines by the paying guests and carried with all the other crockery and food backwards and forwards to their tables. A route march.

Toast had to be put through the toaster and waited for while it browned and all the time people were queuing behind waiting to toast their own. By the time we had collected , made and delivered all of the crockery, drinks and food necessary for our breakfast the toast was soggy because it had been waiting for such a long time and there was no toast rack. and we were very stressed by it all and worn out.

What ever happened to waitress service and care of guests in what we expected to be a good hotel. It was just like a motorway services and so stressful when one is already very tired and expecting to be looked after especially with the prices charged by this hotel.

Dogs are charged at £10 per night each and dog friendly rooms are not serviced by housekeepers even if the dogs are not there.

Really recommend this hotel. Went for a 2 night golf break with a group of friends. Rooms are comfortable, food is terrific and staff were friendly and helpful. The golf course is flat so easily walked. Golf tee times worked well.Whilst the course is not a championship one it is challenging and most enjoyable.
