From the beautiful grounds, you can make friends with some trout, to the luxuriously comfortable rooms, you immediately feel rested. Kathy and Marv's warm and genuine nature is instanteously comforting and you can feel in your hearts not only the love for what they do, but for each other. You can feel the beginnings of a friendship.
Using only the freshest ingredients, you will enjoy a meal your tastebuds will rejoice over. The eggs Benedict was creamy and silky smooth, and coffee the perfect compliment to such a peaceful morning.
Go for a hike, an adventure, then stay at The Purple Frog for your true home away from home in The Bruce.

Thanks so much for your review and for choosing to stay with us while celebrating your third anniversary, my favourite number. We enjoyed meeting you and it was extra special that the weather was pleasant and we were able to sit around the campfire that evening. We hope you enjoyed your day at the park at that we'll have the opportunity to be your hosts again. Kathy and Marv

Purple has always been my favorite color, and the number 3 has always been a magical number for me.....The Purple Frog at 3399 was meant to be!
Kathy and Marv are as down-to-earth and sweet as can be. Kathy had breakfast going early for me to hit the Bruce Trail on schedule, and tailored it perfectly to fit my healthy-eating regime. Then, Marv, the campfire master, cooked up a brilliant roasted dinner and we all sat together like old friends, with a couple celebrating their anniversary, chatting and laughing. I spent two weekends with Kathy and Marv, and had restful sleeps, plenty of hot, fresh coffee, and felt truly cared for during my stay. I'm already planning a winter hiking trip with friends, so we can all stay at Kathy and Marv's place. This truly is the difference between just a "bed and breakfast", and a "home away from home." I highly recommend the Purple Frog, where you come as a stranger, and leave as a friend.

Thank you for your review, thank you for your kind words and making it easy to be your hosts while hiking the Bruce Trail. It was so much fun seeing you two weekends back to back and it did feel like a friend returning. Waking up early and preparing breakfast is so important as most of our guests get an early start and are happy that you enjoyed it each morning. It was unfortunate that your first weekend staying with us was wet not being able to sit around the campfire, but it more than made up for it the next weekend with a nice campfire dinner followed by good conversation. We look forward to meeting your friends should you decide to visit in the winter. Thank you again, Kathy and Marv

I wanted to show the Bruce Peninsula to my parents whom were visiting from Sweden, and luckily managed to make a last-minute booking with Kathy and Marv at the Purple Frog this past September. Since I had stayed there on a previous trip a couple of years earlier I knew we were in for a treat! Kathy and Marv run a beautiful bed & breakfast. Imagine this - it had been at least two years since I last stayed with them, that time for a few nights, and Kathy could still remember what I had for breakfast and some of the things we chatted about! Both Kathy and Marv are incredibly warm-hearted hosts who do their utmost to make guests feel welcome. The rooms are clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated, with excellent amenities. Also worth mentioning - the breakfast is custom-made for each guest and utterly delicious! The b&b is not located smack in the middle of any town, but Bruce Peninsula is small enough that everything is highly accessible by car, and the tranquility of the Purple Frog is also part of the charm. I would highly recommend the Purple Frog to anyone passing through the Bruce Peninsula.

Thanks so much for the review and for remembering us and booking with us again. I recognized the name as soon as the email was read and remembered that you were one of our first visitors here. We are happy that you enjoyed yourselves as much as you did and brought your parents during their visit to Canada. It was really great seeing you again, best of luck with your studies and we hope you visit a third time. Thanks again, Kathy and Marv

Kathy and Marv are so welcoming and friendly! We stayed there recently to do some hiking on the Bruce Trail. What a perfect place! It is a beautiful property with comfortable rooms and we were really made to feel at home! Kathy makes a great breakfast, and we could order packed lunches that were so fresh and delicious. They offer a shuttle service so we could leave our car at the end of the trail each day. Loved it so much and felt so welcome and went back on my own for a few more days of hiking.

My husband, daughter and I spent two nights at The Purple Frog B and B early September. We were warmly met by Kathy and Marv who showed us around their lovely home. Kathy gave us lots of information on where to go which was brilliant. The accommodation was of a very high standard and the breakfast absolutely delicious. Kathy always ensured that there was Apple pie on the table when we arrived back in the evening and we could help ourselves to hot drinks. We had to catch an early ferry to Manitoulan Island on our last morning and Kathy gave us breakfast very early in the morning. We would highly recommend The Purple a Frog and would definitely stay again. Thank you Kathy and Marv.

Thank you so much for your lovely review. It was really great being hosts to the three of you and so nice to see mom and dad visiting their daughter and taking a mini vacation around Ontario. It was our pleasure waking early and preparing breakfast prior to your ferry ride over to Manitoulin Island and no trouble at all. I have tried to count your days as described and we hope that all your stops were fun and adventurous. Hope to see you again. Thank you Kathy and Marv
