We were travelling from Invercargill to Te Anau & were hoping to find a nice coffee stop. WE FOUND IT - this place was just lovely. We ordered a peppermint slice (yummy) and coffees - they were fabulous. Lovely flavour, stretched nicely. Great coffee guys, many thanks

Heard a lot about this place, so on My wife's Birthday we paid it a visit! ( we are in Invercargill about 40 minutes away) there is plenty of parking space so no worries there, the cafe it self is very clean and tidy with lots of tables around (we were there on a Friday around 1.30pm) plenty of room.the staff were very helpful and got excellent service (with a smile) there is a specials board plus the main menu, the prices where on par with other cafes and restaurants around Southland
even were the cafe is located. the meals we had where excellent (the only down fall I can comment on was it would have been nicer if they had cloth napkins in stead of paper ones) they have a good wine, beer, and coffee selection on hand. One does not have to dine here, you can get take away 's coffee, tea's and cakes as well on the away around the coast between Riverton and Tauatapere this is the place to stop in for a break.......

Heard about this Delightful Café on our travels & through Facebook: Wasn't sure if it was open on Easter Monday so sent a message Sunday Night & they promptly replied back early Monday Morning that they would be open: Also while travelling there they messaged us & advised us it may pay to book a Table if arriving at Lunchtime as it can get quite busy. We didn't worry about doing this as we arrived at 11/45am so wasn't to busy then. We appreciated there thoughtfulness in doing this for us: Lovely atmosphere and excellent selection of food, coffees, wines etc. Well staffed & service excellent. Also not a big wait on our meal: Our meals were outstanding . Certainly a must to call in for a meal or snack if passing through Orepuki . With the exception of Xmas Day we were also advised that this café is open on all other Stat Days & No extra Surcharge for this.

From the minute you walk through the door you feel welcome and the food is out of this world. Stopped for brunch at this hidden gem. Had breakfast meals and everything far exceeded our expectations. Fresh and interesting and flavours out of this world. Wish I lived in this part of the world and could visit regularly - even the Melbourne eateries could learn from this café.

Who would have thought that this delightful cafe full of delicious food would be found in this small town. We were there for breakfast, which was outstanding all our meals were tasty and filling. We were sad we didn't know about it last night to have dinner.

Thank Tracy W
