Stayed 2 Nights in twin room, lovely spacious and very clean.
Great location within train station (no trains noise at all) and big shopping centre around with many restaurants within walking distance.
Wonderful friendly hotel, we’ll be back and highly recommended!

Stayed 3 nights solo. Room was adequate, typical size for Japan, fine for 1 person and tight for 2. Clean, modern and efficiently functioning hotel with staff speaking English. The hotel is very easy to find from the train platform exit, just look to your right when exiting the gates and follow the signs to the lift, 6th floor. The "town"of Takasaki is based about 1 block either side of the station, there is very little to do as such but if you are looking for a base for day hikes in the area it is ideal and worked well for me. Recommend staying here

We stayed two nights at this hotel in a twin room. Overall a very good stay as parking is convenient, staff is friendly and the room was spacious and well laid out with enough shelves and hangers. No outside noise from the trains was heard in the room. There was a safe in the room, but we hardly use them as Japan is a very honest country.
Breakfast at a fee and had a nice spread including yoghurt and a variety of fresh food.
Would certainly stay here again.

I've stayed with the Metropolitan several times. The location is perfect, it's within the train station so it's the shortest distance when you get off the Shinkansen. At least one of the front desk staff spoke English. Rooms are bigger (but not by a lot) than most Japanese business hotels, so this is a luxury. Other co-workers have also stayed at the Coco Grand. These two are the most 'American Friendly' hotels in Takasaki.
