We visited Nagoya especially to visit Nabano no Sato.
We took the bus from the Meititsu Bus Station which runs every 30 - 60 minutes and costs Y890. The bus goes straight to Nabano No Sato.
Entry was around Y2,900 and included Y1000 of vouchers which can be used for food/drink and shopping for gifts. There are also many restaurants in the complex as well where you can have dinner if you feel like dining beforehand. The cheaper food options are extensive / gyozas, bao, croquettes, cakes, noodles etc.
The tulip garden was very nice.
The highlights were the two illuminated tunnels which were opened 20 minutes after Sunset. They were magical. There was also a spectacular light show which unfortunately we didn’t see much of due to the drizzle.
The challenge was getting the direct bus back to Nagoya. There was a queue and we couldn’t get on the first bus. Another one came earlier than expected (I suspect all of us left earlier due to the drizzle). Plan ahead so you don’t miss the bus or wait too long.
Worth a planning a visit to Nagoya to see this!
