We visited Nagoya especially to visit Nabano no Sato.

We took the bus from the Meititsu Bus Station which runs every 30 - 60 minutes and costs Y890. The bus goes straight to Nabano No Sato.

Entry was around Y2,900 and included Y1000 of vouchers which can be used for food/drink and shopping for gifts. There are also many restaurants in the complex as well where you can have dinner if you feel like dining beforehand. The cheaper food options are extensive / gyozas, bao, croquettes, cakes, noodles etc.

The tulip garden was very nice.

The highlights were the two illuminated tunnels which were opened 20 minutes after Sunset. They were magical. There was also a spectacular light show which unfortunately we didn’t see much of due to the drizzle.

The challenge was getting the direct bus back to Nagoya. There was a queue and we couldn’t get on the first bus. Another one came earlier than expected (I suspect all of us left earlier due to the drizzle). Plan ahead so you don’t miss the bus or wait too long.

Worth a planning a visit to Nagoya to see this!

I visited Nabana no Sato from Nagoya and took a direct bus from the Meitetsu Bus center to the area. The bus ride took about 30mins.

I arrived around 430pm before the sun set to walk around the park. I took me around 30mins to finish walking around the park excluding the illumination area. The park is very small but very nice for photoshoots.

Then I quickly grabbed dinner at one of the restaurants in the park. There are about five restaurants in the park. And it gets crowded later into the evening.

I arrived at the illumination area 15mins before the lighting up. And there was a Japanese man introducing the show. An audience from the front row was chosen to press some button to light up. According to the introduction, the theme of the show changes every season, except summer when the park is closed.

Although the introduction is entirely is Japanese, I would advise tourists to still go to the area earlier, only the front few rows can get the best view of the light up into the tunnel.

The entire area was breathtakingly beautiful. It is good to stay for a while to enjoy the lights. And walk around the park again to enjoy the lights around the park too! Will definitely be back again!!

All i can say is WOW!!!! The winter illumination was awesome! We were all in awe :) its nice to get there around 5:00pm so that you can see the place without ligtts then with lights afterwards. We didn’t get to see the cherry blossoms bloom yet but those Plum blooms are as pretty also. :) so much food to offer too!

Came here on Christmas day. Bought bus ticket at 3rd floor of Meteisu Nagoya Station. Bus fare cost 890yen per way. The bus depart every 20-30min. Took 30 min to arrive.
Entrance ticket is 2300yen (include 1000yen meal voucher). The light up start from 5-530pm. Be prepare for a lot of people there. We love both spring and winter illuminations light tunnel. There is a hot spring in the park also. We spent 2 hours here. For me come once is enough.
Visited on Dec 2017.
