Eleven of us stayed here overnight on our way home to England.
Staff were friendly and helpful, and the motel-style room was roomy and well equipped, including a kettle for a cup of tea (well I'm English!). Drinks were taken on the front terrace, and the dinner in the dining room was very enjoyable. My only disappointment was the breakfast - no cereal, no yoghourt, just little pots of apple. There was only one croissant and a basket of bread - a small plate of cold meat and cheese - perhaps if we had had time the buffet would have been replenished, but we needed to leave to catch our eurotunnel so made do with coffee and the apple.

Room Tip: rooms at the back of the hotel (12 to 20) are probably quieter than the internal rooms - also very...

Five of us ate here for Sunday lunch after making a reservation. The food was OK but expensive for what it was and especially compared to other local restaurants. We were also given a table pushed up into the corner away from everyone else and no where near the log fire on a cold day. Very disappointed.

Booked this hotel on the basis of previous reviews and wish i hadn't. Whilst the location is good and the dinner delicious, the bed was incredibly uncomfortable to the extent that it ruined our stay. The first night I left the window open and when I did finally managed to get sufficiently comfortable to fall asleep I was woken by tractors and trucks rumbling loudly as if through the middle of our bed. Oh, and the delivery van comes at 6.30 am and even with the windows closed, and a pillow over my head it was still overwhelmingly noisy.
Breakfast was basic: croissant, bread, packets of coco pops and Gouda cheese in cellophane, orange juice and tea/coffee. Not amazing but not a real problem for us.
I was more disappointed with the shower with no curtain and the tv with no reception. Won't be going back.

Room Tip: Avoid room 8. Even with the windows closed the traffic noise is terrible - especially the delivery...

We stayed one night in this hotel. We had the room 10. Definitely a bad choice 1 meter from the swimming pool and closed to the kitchen. The room was noisy and too warm. The room is also very small. Luckly the bed is good and the room was very clean. Staff is friendly
I'm not recommend this hotel ( perhaps the other room are better) if you wish to stay in this area try a Bed and Breakfirst.

Wow.... perfect setting lovely hotel. All that we wanted for a weekend - pool, garden, scenery, fantastic host and a very good cook. Sat Outside to eat in the evenin g and what a treat.

Try the local food and order the Tarte Tatin when you arriuve. You won't regret it.

OK the breakfast is non English but.... this is France and they ignore food first thing.

Visit The Sauage Restaurant in Douriez and ther Coq en Pate - for a Michelin Star experience - if he hasn't got one he deserves one.

I wanted to keep this place a secret but my wife said I must review it.Lovely countryside, beautiful area

One last thing - the local Brits are not all friendly - keep away they bite.

we went because of trip advisor review.Nice location but the room was very old fashioned, not particularly clean, and the bed was a standard double. Breakfast as mentioned by another reviewer was bread and jam.Not really worth the 78 euros charge. The restaurant was also very ordinary and staff spoke no english to help translate tyhe menu.Food was adequate but set menu was 22 euros and 28 euros, 1 mile away in tghe same village is a michelin recommended restaurant where we ate ant the set meal wasw q19 euros. The food was far superior.

Well, what a treat. This wonderful hotel near the Abbaye de Valloires with its wonderful gardens and beautiful building has to be the pearl of the area.

The Chef is a star - Jean-Claude is young but his fois gras honey and pepper starter is to die for and so are his dauphinoise. Don't ask for his tarte tatin - I want some for the next time I go.

And Mme Cornille - if you want a considerate and attentive host she is the one. I believe that she runs this place on her own but I can't believe how well she manages to balance the demands of her guests and still keep smiling. She is just so lovely.

Don't forget Bobby the dog.

Don't think about it just book it
