The hotel is fully renewed and the rooms are quite modern. The staff is really helpful and nice (even with a basic English for most employees). The hotel rooms have heaters but no AC, so in the summer is a little bit warm. It is near to Metzingen, good place for shopping. Considering the quality of the hotel, the prices are good.

Three university business colleagues were out on the street in Stuttgart after a hotel denied our reservations because we arrived at the front desk 5 minutes late due to a German Rail delay. So ... folks at the reception of a close-by Stuttgart Hotel that was also full, called around and no hotels in the city had room for that Saturday night. They asked if we were willing to go to a small family hotel near Tuebingen. We said YES and after 45 minutes in a cab, arrived at the Hotel Schoenbuch.

This is a lovely modern hotel with absolutely the nicest and most accommodating staff. They greeted us warmly and helped us to get settled and guided us to our rooms. They helped with some re-arrangements of our travel and with locating a passport that was left behind in another city.

Then we went to the restaurant for a simply wonderful meal. Do not miss this restaurant. Every dish was delicious and presented with taste and beauty. This was a memorable meal and we felt like royalty.

What started out as a bad experience in Stuttgart, ended up as a delightful evening and night! Thank you so much!

Newly renovated, design hotel located ~ 10km from Metzingen on the hill with a beautiful view from balcony to the Neckar valley and Swabian Alb.
Staff, room, restaurant, spa-area, surrounding - everything is perfect.
Not cheap, but very good restaurant with tasty German cuisine.
Interior of the room we liked very much, but it could be confusing for conservative people - the shover cabin with glass valls is located in the room, no wardrobe.
