Very professional & friendly reception. Correct attitude and helpful. This must be heaven in the summer when u look out of the room window or from the terrace outside. Only the bathroom is very hot when u enter. No problem as long as you don't use the toilet in the bathroom. The fan does not work properly... When u take a shower in the bath the water stays in the bath.
The bed is beautiful but the matrasse is way to soft??
These are small details you could expect in a 3 star hotel, but not here.
The receptionist took notice of my experience and would take initiative.
This is again 4 star service.
Breakfast was just great so no comment here!
Let's see what happens...

Lovely little village hotel. Our room was spacious and beautiful. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Enjoyed the Christmas markets outside the brewery. Highly recommend this place but the church bells ringing through the night and early morning are part of the experience

Dear Bronwen B,

thanks a lot for your great review! We really appreciate your friendly words about our staff-members and the atmosphere. You are right: The church bells are part of the experience, because Aying is a traditional small bavarian village and the church bells are typical for it.
Hope to see you soon again!
Kind regards

Stayed here as part of a conference, an authentic Bavarian experience rather than central Munich.
Hotel looks nice, but has a number of oddities. Church bells going off at night, no bar in the hotel (over the road is good though) and rooms far too hot (but you don't want to open windows due to the bells!).
Service was actually quite good, and lunchtime food for conference was good. Room was decent size and clean. They hotel organised a taxi for us back to airport too, so a number of good features.
Breakfast OK, good continental fare, but you have to ask for cooked food. We did not get told this until saw someone else having on second morning we stayed!
Food over the road in the brewery owned restaurant is good Bavarian fare, with decent service and obviously good German beer.
Conference room largely OK, although also got a bit hot.
So a quick stay to experience something truly Bavarian, then OK.

Room Tip: face out the back to not hear the bells of the church so much

Dear guest,

thanks a lot for your feedback. Indeed our hotel is in the middle of a cosy, traditional bavarian village and we spend much time and carefullness of preserving this tradition.
The church bells are a typical characteristic.
We're sorry for the missunderstanding during breakfast - next time we'll announce our offer of hot dishes better.

Hope to see welcome you back again soon!
Kind regards

I have been to this hotel very often for various meetings and each time very satisfied. Everything is very much bavarian style, the rooms are good enough. they have different conference rooms for different purposes. The meals are always great.

I can only recommend this place...

For an experienced traveller, this was a disappointing hotel.

We had mixed service from the staff: housekeeping were very friendly, fast and efficient, but front office staff less than helpful.

At 2.45am in the morning we (and our neighbouring rooms) were awoken by an almighty loud and ongoing noise coming from the function rooms below (sounded like the staff were moving furniture) and this really ruined our stay. When we tried to contact reception, there was no easy way to do so. The following morning I asked reception staff for an explanation and was simply told "keine ahnung" (no idea in German) and was not given any kind of apology or gesture of goodwill.

Furthermore, we were surprised at checkout to find that the hotel pricing was significantly higher than advertised when we booked (+25%), and was told this was due to Oktoberfest.

All in all, I had really hoped that this would be a cute romantic guesthouse in what is a beautiful picturesque German town, but all we got was a restless night's sleep in a rather standard small room.

I wish I could recommend this hotel, but I got the feeling that most staff just didn't seem to care about the guests or their peace and quiet.

Room Tip: Don't get a room on Level 1, as you'll be disturbed by noisy functions.
