The hotel has a peerless location, overlooking the wonderful lake and a short amble to the restaurants and cafes. Staff were extremely pleasant and keen for you to enjoy a great holiday. The room was massive, there could easily have been a second family living in there and we would not have known.

Only small downside is the 'traditional' shower over the bath, but this added to the old charm.

The hotel appears to be traditional and charming on the outside, but it is actually not so well managed. The rooms are not functional (and could be), the bathrooms are very old as well and the staff at the reception were not friendly. Again, location is great, right in front of the lake and their attached stakehouse serves very decent food but the hotel itself needs maintenace and upgrades.

We stayed here for a friends 30th birthday party. The rooms are traditional and clean but not exceptional.

There are a good few activities, bars and restaurants around the lake and close by in the local town. We spent a fun hour or so playing mini golf which was a few hundred yards from the hotel. We also took a quick trip over to the island via the ferry and had a beer in the cafe at the top of the hill.

A calm, relaxing place. The views of the lake and ease of access into the town is what makes this hotel worth staying in.

I have been here for one night during high seasons. The room was very tiny and super noisy: walls and doors seem made of paper. I paid a reasonable price but I don't think I will be back. The breakfast was excellent. With a view on the lake and a lot of interesting bio products. The location is also TOP cannot get better than this: you are almost at the lake shore. However the quality of sleep is very bad.

Room Tip: I guess a top floor room at the end of the corridor can reduce the noise to its minimum

We expected more after reading the adds. Schlossblick is misleading, we had a top floor room but couldn't see the Schloss but the rubish on the rooftop.
Room was extremely small, we couldn't even fit our two suitcases.
The restaurant was on a completely different negative level. The fish dish in foil was cold on a bed of raw vegetables. After we asked for it to be grilled (as advertised), we got them fried swimming in oil. The steak was burned and the baked potato was boiled and just put into the foil. Careless cooking. The wine selection is miniscule.
