Great gem of a place, hidden away near the ruins of Mystras, close to Sparta. The all team is very welcoming and caring and they have 12 nicely decorated of varying sizes. The temperature for hot summer in Greece is amazing, dry and cool at night. Highly recommended

Beautifully designed, spacious rooms. Attention to every little detail. Wonderful staff. Great location for Mystras and breathtaking views. I would love to come back for a longer stay. Should be lovely in spring too.
Tip: upstairs rooms have better views and private balconies. Ouranos is lovely.

If anyone is in the Sparta/Mystas area, this is a wonderful place to stay. The staff was very nice and helpful. Lovely views and close to Mystras. The room was clean and quiet and the breakfast was very good. Worth your time if you are in the area. Lots of thanks to the staff. We enjoyed our short stay.

The Guesthouse Mazaraki is about a kilometre from the Byzantine ruins of Mystras, and are on the hill overlooking Sparti. The rooms are modern, funky, very large, and afford views of the valley - each room has a different theme. We stayed in the new building which was constructed in 2015, and had a junior suite. There's a small salt-water pool to relax by, as well as a small garden area directly across the road (see photo). The wifi is free and fast: 27 Mps download, 2.5 Mps upload, which is good considering you're in the countryside.

Breakfast was served outside the main stone building, but guests can have their breakfast served in their rooms. Instead of the usual buffet, the staff take your order from a pretty comprehensive menu, and prepare it to order, at a time you suggest. It was delicious. The guesthouse doesn't do other meals, but there are two tavernas very close by, including the Taverna Piloulianiki, and for dinner, the staff suggested the Restaurant Chromata up the hill.

The team who work at the guesthouse are extremely professional, cheerful and helpful. Couldn't fault them or their service. Small touches were noted, such as lighting candles outside the rooms at night, or delicious cheese plates that accompanied wine by the pool.

Overall, this is one of the nicest and most relaxing places I've stayed, and I'd love to come back and spend a few more days at some stage.
