Absolutelly best choice in town! Not a big hotel, neither a resort complex, this hotel is practically hidden in a side street, not far from the port. City center is within walkable distance.
Hotel has a theme - all things seas and sailing, boats, perhaps a bit too stuffed but not really annoying. Rooms are of different sizes, mostly no balcony and small windows, but well furnished. Staff very friendly and helpful, giving good advice on what to do in Otranto and around.
However hotel restaurat excells - very original cuisine and impeccable service, beats all other in town. For Italy - very rich breakfast.
If you stay in Otranto for a few nights - Corte di Nettuno is best choice far around!

This hotel is simply wonderful. The architecture, the care the owner applied to the building, the location, the restaurant and the quality of the food and the care and service of the staff.
The hotel has a special marine look with mosaics on the floor, original objects around, each with a particular history behind it. It is fascinating. The room I got was spacious, with balcony and view on the main Street. The hotel is at a walking distance from the centre of Otranto. It has also a parking which was given to us for free. Breakfast is served in a special setting: a room close to the internal courtyard. Quality of breakfast is very high. I simply loved it. The hotel has a restaurant which is excellent: setting, architecture, service, quality of food is amazing and the chef is a very nice and approachable person. If a customer has special requests, the chef will do everything to make it happen. The hotel manager and the staff are lovely, informal and very professional and always ready to help customers. They are all approachable and ready to entertain the customers with interesting stories on the city or the architecture of the hotel. I will definitely go back and I do recommend to book this hotel. In addition Otranto is a very nice town. So it is worth a visit and a stay!!

Room Tip: Room in second floor with a view on the street. Not noisy at all.

The staff in this hotel were fantastic. We were lucky to stay here to be honest, arriving into otranta with no booking and a pet in tow. Although this hotel has a policy of no pets, when we walked in and asked if they had a room, they made an exception for us as it was quiet. And our cat was adored haha.

The hotel was interesting. It's a strange mix of almost theme hotel and museum, there are historical artefacts seemingly everywhere, and a couple of times we ended up wandering down corridors after spotting little interests. A lot of thought has gone into this place.

Our room was a good size, was comfortable and had an beautiful feature roof.

As for the location it was close to the castle and the old town, which was perfect for us, and right beside the harbour. To be so close and have parking is great.

Also you have to pay a city tax of 2 euros, which gets you a little card, with which you get discounts at a lot of shops and restaurants in otranto, as well as free bike rental,

Stayed in the hotel for 2 nights from 15 June 2014

Ours was room 101 was classed as "superior" and whilst an odd shape was in fact very large with a large but firm bed plus a single bed, a wardrobe containing a safe, a desk with mini bar underneath, a small wall mounted flat screen TV plus air conditioning and a fully opening door

The room had 2 bath-rooms - one for toilet bidet and sink - the other for a large walk- in shower plus corner sink - it should be mentioned that the shower cubicle is spacious and the shower generous and easily controlled with lots of hot water

The hotel although modern is a warren of corridors with odd staircases leading separately to reception and the breakfast room - there is a bar and a restaurant both of which were underused during our stay - there is also an internal courtyard with statue and a roof top terrace - both are furnished with easy chairs and tables

Although the beds are firm we slept reasonably well as it was generally quiet as our room overlooked the internal courtyard and we were located at the end of a corridor so no passing traffic

Breakfast although chaotic at times was extensive and tasty with a good choice of sweet and savoury items

The hotel was chosen for its ease of access from the road network - found first time by our sat-nav which was a first - there is off street parking - not free but convenient as it is opposite the hotel - it is well located being close to the marina which is pretty as well as being within easy walking distance of the old town sites and restaurants - no more than 10 minutes - no problems the descriptions and reports are true

There are a lot of positives including a very informative and helpful receptionist

But there are some negatives - the breakfast room is small and got crowded by 8.30 on the Monday morning - when we arrived food was running out along with space - 2 members of staff were running themselves ragged re-setting tables restocking food trays as well as meeting coffee orders - there is a separate kettle for tea - but the next day when the hotel was less full the breakfast service was much more leisurely with empty tables all around but with food being replenished continually and the staff much more relaxed

The other downside was the intermittent nature of the wi-fI with the strongest signal being found in the toilet - in this day and age of electronic communications a strong and reliable signal is a must even for silver surfers like us!!!!! -

A final negative came with TV - firstly it is set at an odd angle on the wall to the bed which is the only real place to sit as there are no comfy chairs in the room and for us BBC World appeared to available but not with a strong enough signal - poor Helen Willis was a very odd shape and sounded decidedly unwell

The hotel has many positives and should be considered as a strong candidate as it is easy to get to and accessible to the town and it's attractions - but from our perspective it scores 4+ but not 5 - thank you

If you do not want corporate, chain hotels this is the place for you. We had a superior room, very large and spotlessly clean. Very friendly and helpful reception staff.
Breakfasts were fine - the Italians do seem to like cake at breakfast time !
Short walk from the harbour area into the old town, just right for an evening stroll before a meal out.
We did eat in the restaurant one evening, not bad value but very little choice ( 2 starters and 2 mains ! ) and not good for vegetarians like me - I had a plate of cheese for my main course ! Other than that, no problem at all and we enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: Superior rooms were more spacious
