We stayed at Zahir Country House last 2 weeks of October. I specially search for a quiet place with a nice garden and lawn to enjoy the nature and relax. This hotel was a proper one. You can walk to the beach trow the orange gardens or simply drive to any of plenty beautiful beaches. Sure you need a car if you will choose this property. For us it was easy to drive everywhere that is why we decided to stay at the same hotel for all our Sicilian vacation and we didn't regret. The owner of the hotel Vincenzo is very hospitable and helpful. And he bakes the very delicious cakes and cookies. We had lack to meet the chef Angelo and to try his cooking. Unfortunately he was working only till 22d of October and later we could not have dinned at Zahir, but was fine to drive somewhere. In Noto you will find many good restaurants. Our favorite was Bedda Marti. Really good local food and very cosy place.
Coming back to the hotel - the only thing I could say was so so is the sound insolation of the bathroom. We could hear our neighbors when they used their bathroom. But frankly spoken it was bothering just 1st day than I have adopted :-) I'm a bit spoilt traveler and always expect hight standards in everything. For my husband all was perfect. And I need to say that the property is really good and everything there is new and was build with soul. The rooms are perfectly clean and the bed was super comfortable. If I'll appear in this region again I'll definitely come back.
P.S. If the cat Lasco will ask for food in the morning when you are enjoying your breakfast, pls know, it is not the fault of Vincenzo, I have spoiled the cat by feeding him. I Think I taught him how to get the food looking into your eyes like touching your leg, you could never refuse:-). The cat is super cute and clever. I'll miss him.
Thank you Vincenzo for the time in Zahir Country House.

Room tip: We were at he standard room on 1d floor. Was nice we could see the sea from our balcony

My wife and I spent one week at the Zahir Country House in July. This small hotel has a number of strengths that makes it really unique: the location is magnificent and quiet.
Rooms are beautiful and perfectly clean.
This is a place where guests can really appreciate the beauty of Sicily. At walking distance, there is a stunning, wild beach with sand and warm, crystal-clear water. From the hotel, some of the most beautiful naturalistic and historical spots in Sicily can be easily reached by car.
Every single guest's need and request is looked after with care and kindness.
The cuisine is absolutely great; the chef is just a genius able to combine local products and daily fresh fish in a miracle of flavours.
For breakfast, a great buffet is available with a wide range of sweet and salted choices. Daily prepared pastries and cakes are delicious. Local fresh fruit is delicious too.
Dinners are served in the garden, which gives the final touch to a perfect meal.
My wife and I couldn't be more enthusiastic.
Highly recommended to people who love peace, nature and top quality cuisine.

Very nice place to spend a few days.
The house is located in the countryside, it is a very calm area. Rooms were very clean and nicely furnished. The house was built one year ago, everything is pretty new. A swimming pool will be built next winter. They also have a restaurant (for dinner).
To be improved: breakfast (limited choice)

Zahir country house is great positioned little hotel with very personal and arttendive owners. Knowing we will arrive verly late in the evening and after long flight I have asked for some late night snack to wait for us. We were very positively surprised that the beautifully set up table in a garden was waiting for us with amazing antipasti. Genearlly the food was great as I have dietary restrictions I was little bit affraid that this might be a problem the first morning I was given big range of different cookies and cakes I could have for breakfast there was always good selection off fruits too. The hotel has restaurant open only for hotel guests which after going out to couple of places in Noto is the best food was bueaitifully cook and again I was provided with gluten free pasta which was a bonus. My favourite dish was thin slices of smoked swordfish and red tuna with little bit of pesto and olive oil simple and delicious.
The rooms are comfortable and clean with good size bathroom.
The whole property is lovley however gps has problems finding it so using google maps is a lot better.
The location of the hotel will allow you to explore Noto, Ortiga, Modica and other places easily and there are various beaches arround to choose from. The atmosphaere is great and you can really relax in calm, peaceful and beautiful environment.Defiantly we will go back.
