Noto is a Historic Town built on a hill and as such means you are either climbing up or going down. There is not a great deal of parking capacity close to the town centre which gets very congested, it is best therefore to leave your car at the hotel. This Hotel is a little outside the main part of the centre which means that it is quieter but the walk to the centre is all up hill through interesting back streets and could be strenuous for any unfit visitors there are however many Restauants to choose from. The managment makes you most welcome and it has the advantage of a garage for up to 8 cars. However this is underneath the Hotel and whilst there is a lift to the floors the vehicular access is quite difficult and should only be attempted by small cars and certainly not in the wet due to the steep drive. It is however quiet and we had an excellent night's sleep. The buffet breakfast was sufficient although a little limited but the coffee was plentiful and very good.
The Town has many one way streets and the Hotel is not the easiest to find and the street cannot be found without some difficulty on Multimap. However if you look for the Railway Station sign to the south of the town, the Hotel is just to the north and is signposted from there.

2 nights at NOTO (bassa). That’s where the sights are, and the two famous café’s. We strongly recommend staying at Hotel della Ferla. It is an immaculate modern hotel, with garage, in a quiet setting. Just 10 mins easy walk into town and well sign posted for the return walk! The welcoming young family who run it speak English. The breakfast was generous and so were they.
