We stayed 4 nights in a Generous Seaview room with a spectacular view. The hotel is wonderfully renovated. Pricey, though. Very nicely furnished and comfortable room.
Large underground parking lot with lifts, very convenient.

We had dinner twice at Le Sommet. It was delicious and very enjoyable but overpriced. We had dinner once at the Brasserie, good food. The staff is friendly but not very focused on service, probably due to the fact that there are many young trainees.

Everything was well organized in spite of the covid restrictions.
Breakfast and dinner slots were a good idea. However, breakfast was not well managed as the staff did not communicate well with each other and with customers. Travelling often in USA we are familiar with hostesses seating you at your table. See my comment about this hereunder.
Overall we enjoyed very much our stay, it was very relaxing in a beautiful and comfortable hotel, perfect location.
However, there is a big minus point and this is why I give only 3 stars. Customers should not be treated this way.
A very unpleasant and uncomfortable incident happened at breakfast on a busy Sunday morning. The evening before we had asked the staff if we could reserve a table in the “private” room for breakfast, if possible. They made a note of our request. Our breakfast slot was at 10 AM, we arrived well on time and joined the queue. When we got to the desk at the entrance of the breakfast restaurant, we gave our name and room number to the friendly young hostess. Right away, she said she was going to look if there was a table available in the private room. Suddenly her colleague, an older waitress, got angry at us (!) and said it was not possible to make table reservations for breakfast. We were not aware of this. Very embarrassed, the younger waitress took us to a table which she thought was free but it was already taken, there was a handbag and a coat on the chairs. Since there was no other table available she took us back at the front desk and asked us to wait until a table would get free. It was not a problem to us. In an angry way (again), the old waitress loudly told us that we could not wait by the desk and had to go all the way back in line ! We did not agree since it was not logical at all but, since we did not want to argue like her, we went back in line for the second time. It ended up that all the people who originally were queuing behind us ended up being seated before us, about 10 people !
The young waitress looked very embarrassed, so were we… This incident made us feel extremely uncomfortable, as if we had done something wrong.
This situation reminded me of a similar experience we had with the very same waitress last time we stayed here two years ago.

My husband and I booked a last minute long weekend at this hotel, after our other holiday plans got cancelled. We were delighted to have found this beautiful place right on the dunes overlooking the sea. Fantastic food, comfortable rooms, spa treatments out of this world, surrounding food and entertainment up to check. Loved every minute of it.

We spent 2 nights in this hotel with 3 adults and 1 kid in a family suite with sea view: a wonderful experience. Their restaurant "Sommet" is more than OK. Their pool and SPA area is great. Their service as well. And their breakfast buffet is royal. It is a luxury hotel so don't expect it to be cheap. Before recommending this hotel to my friends I would suggest the management to change their check-in and check-out policy: check-in at 3 pm and check-out at 11 am for this price is not fair; in at 2 pm and out at noon would be more OK.

Dear Nsouren,

Thank you so much for your wonderful review. I am so happy you had a great time at our hotel. Fine to read, you'd liked our rooms. Great to hear you had a great experience in Le Simmet and at our breakfast restaurant Dunes.

I cannot wait to welcome you back.

Warmest regards,

This place is amazing. We checked in a bit later then we though we would. Come to find out they called twice to make sure we were still coming and when we did get there after necessary check in stuff, we got escorted to the room. You can see the place has been around awhile, dingy carpet and the drape looked like it had oil stains on it but we didn’t care. They had a breakfast table with everyone’s room numbers on them so no waiting just find your table. We can’t wait to go back and see the new addition of this hotel. Weather wasn’t great but the atmosphere of the hotel makes it 5stars for us.
