What a pleasant surprise the Acadian museum was. Don't let the modest building fool you, as the museum is rich in heritage and pride. Our guide, Jennifer, is a descendant from the original settling families, and is a window into the history and heritage of the people. She gave us our first introduction to the Acadian culture, including a picture of how the people think and act today. The place is small, but authentic. Take some time to tour the small garden out back. It was a great introduction to the rest of the Acadian coast.
