Best coffee I've had in the US. I'm from Australia, so am a coffee snob :) really fantastic flat white. Scandi- chic decor, unfortunately almost no food - but as i said, stunningly good coffee

Monk and Mongoose is an independent local business pouring not only the best coffee in Lone Tree it is some of the best coffee I've tasted. Providing a warm and comfortable environment, it is a favorite place of mine to meet up with friends and business associates for some conversation and a fine cup of coffee. On a warm day don't be surprised to find the garage doors up extending the shop into the outdoor patio. Beans are custom roasted for M&M by local roaster Sweet Bloom so a number of varieties are uniquely theirs. Every step of the brewing process, amount of beans, grind, temperature, amount of water and milk is carefully controlled by your barista for a perfect cup. Coffee is fair traded and sometimes the grower travels to Colorado to witness the process from beginning to end. This farm to cup involvement is part of the Monk and Mongoose recipe for the highest quality cup. Monk & Mongoose also makes a point of being involved in the community. They have been a host for Douglas County Libraries 2017 Brew Tour and are a generous provider of coffee for the City of Lone Tree Bike to Work Day breakfast station. You owe it to yourself to stop by Monk and Mongoose for a cup for a cup of cold brew, a pour over, or your favorite espresso drink.

Loved the taste of their coffee and it is organic! Would go more often if it was closer to us. Beautifully designed cafe with a fireplace. Pastry selection is very limited. It is on the pricey end in comparison to other coffee shops. Highly recommend.

We have gone here multiple times over the past year. It is really fantastic coffee and a really nice, calm, quiet environment to meet someone or get some work done. That said, it is on the pricey side for coffee (worth it if you're really into that) and it's a little stuffy (not too many food options either). The employees are pleasant enough, but it stops there. They're not going to go out of their way to be extra friendly or chatty. If you don't care about that and you want to support the smaller chains and have a good cup of coffee then I recommend a visit. If you all you care about is a variety of food options and average coffee (with an extra shot of casual friendly conversation) then stick with your local Starbucks. Overall, we enjoy it, but it's not for those who really like a Starbucks vibe.

If you are near Lone Tree and trying to find a good coffee place, try this one! Mongoose has great drip coffee and a pretty darn good vanilla latte on ice if you like that! The staff is cool and helpful. Don't go here if you don't like paying more for a cup of drip or a delicious coffee-there are plenty of chains for that! If you like to try different coffee places other than the usual suspects, then try this little neighborhood place. The atmosphere inside is pretty hip for the area. I have never tried the food here, but they have little snacks. It is an easy place to study, have a coffee meeting and they also have a larger meeting room inside that you can either rent or use-call them for the details. A hidden gem in suburb city!
